  • the table saw is the most dangerous of them all.... they dont' give ya a second chance.

  • I thought you would want the blade a bit higher to minimize "kick backs". The angle of force of the circular blade onto the wood is almost directly at the user if the blade is "just above" the work piece. Too high and you can get "kick overs".

  • If I want to rip a board do i put the thinner piece toward the fence or the wider side toward the fence??? help

  • @jerryiscountry185 doesnt really matter. have the big bit on the fence for more control

  • Thank you for this helpful video. I have never used a table saw, but feel a lot more confident to try now after seeing this.

  • Thanks for vid. Information on the fundamentals helpful.

  • very helpful thanks

  • another eow 'expert' lol

  • Today you are my hero! Thank you!

  • This guy is pretty fumbly with his cheap tablesaw. He talks way too much. And I don't care how "real good " you are with a T-saw, it's entirely impossible to rip without a rip fence. Other than actually watching someones technique ( to get a grasp of their capability with a T-saw) one thing that always raises my suspicion is seeing cuts or gouges into the throat plate or fence which I noticed on this guy's saw. A possible indication of incompetence.

  • @edaker66 you know you don't need a fence you could use a t-square if you know how to use one

  • @j0hnyTV T-squares are not for ripping wood, rip fences are. If someone thinks a fence is not needed, they clearly are ignorant as to how to use a tablesaw.

  • I just bought a new table saw, thanks for the video.

  • How do i prevent board wood to contact the blade motor housing? and What should i do if my tablesaw was under power when ripping. and I see smoke coming out of the motor housing. and How do i solve fix this problem?

  • Please take the captions off - it's very hard to see what you're doing!

  • good video but the captions cover up a lot of what you are doing

  • Thanks, very informative.

  • An alternate is the OJJ

  • Regarding blade height: You also want to make sure that the gullet of your blade clears the height of your stock. It's not enough to simply have the teeth clearing the height of the stock. The gullet will clear the sawdust from the kerf.

  • Couple of other points. Put the largest side to the fence and make sure you stand on the side of the table where the blade is coming at you so that you hands dont get sucked into the blade.

  • Thanks for the helpful information!

  • thank you for this very simple but interesting demonstration, we don't have this in France,

  • Thank you for the information.

  • clear good explanation!!! thanks
