It'll be weird if in real life if an recently diagnosed aids patient just said it like that. Heck anyone of any fatal or potentially fatal disease would sound strange. "Phhh I got the results today -crosses legs, sips from cup, and picks up clothes magazine casually- I definately have aids".
at the screening I went to, people threw hundreds and hundreds of little plastic spoons at the screen. We also stood up and sang happy birthday and everybody joined in. High as a kite..
My friends and I went to the August 29th screening in Portland, and when Lisa says "They're curing lots of people every day", we yelled "JUST ASK TED KENNEDY" and we were met with a respectful silence..it was pretty great.
For those who live in Montreal: There are midnight screenings of this movie starting August 14 at Décarie Square mall at 6900 Décarie Boulevard. This is our chance! Bring many plastic spoons!
I saw this in NYC - so funny - everybody started throwing popcorn at the screens and going along with the dialouge. i would love to see it again just for the fun of it. horrible movie - fucking hilarious/genious movie.
If THIS is an example of how "funny" this movie is, I'll play it smart and not throw my money and time away to go see it. Even the audience's comments aren't funny or clever, just annoying & rude.
went to see a screening at the Sunset 5 in LA and ... THIS WAS THE FUNNIEST, MOST LAUGH OUT LOUD MOVIE EVENTS I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!! I'm going back for sure and brining 10 friends!! GENIUS!!!! HAHAHA!!

I love how people acknowledge that Claudette's breast cancer is not mentioned again for the rest of the film. lol

In no other film could the line 'I definitely have breast cancer' be hilarious.
