Modern yakuza live their lives in both honor, and disgrace, do I believe their ancestors would support the yakuza selling drugs and sex for money, but I ally myself with the yakuza, in order to remind them of their noble roots, and show them, that their are still good people who support them, but their Must be changes in the actions of the current street thugs in japan.

During the Kobe earthquake they were the first on the scene to help with food and water. They were the first digging people(civilians) out of the ruble. All the while the national government was still in the planning phase of exectuting a rescue. I repeat again, all these anti yakuza types have an agenda.

When and were was this broadcast? I've read some of Miyazaki's works. I find his arguments outdated and overly simplistic. The basic question is, should we tolerate organized crime groups which deal in drugs, weapons and prostitution. Is it morally sustainable for any society to accept crime as a neccessary occurence? For the sake of the argument, should the criminal acts commited by these groups be legalized? Child pornography, hard drugs, human trafficking?
