Hmm. The sword thrives on blood, right? And the raven sides with people who own huge ass armies, fusing with them like Venom...

Has anyone thought that maybe the sword and the raven...are working together? Think about it: The raven keeps turning up with huge armies...which in turn provide the sword with folks to kill! Except, Bohan was going to turn the sword into a dusty trophy, and I don't see what the raven gets out of it...

A lot of the events in the final battle aren't really fleshed out. Where does the sword come from? Sure it's killed a whole lot of people and SwordLand certainly doesn't look like Heavon, but it did make Nariko look shiny and save Kai's life. And if the sword IS from hell, WHERE DID THE RAVEN OF DOOM COME FROM?

@Rospi123 When he throws the blue thing at you just press triangle, but when he does the red do R1-triangle. Make sure you have correct timing, it's right after the projectiles hits your guard not before timing is everything.

as to those who are one about red attacks being deflectable or not, i've never tried to block but i have found you can deflect these attacks by going on the offensive. on the weaker enemies at least. i've done it quite a bit

when blue stay in speed stance and don't press anything to block, when she blocks immediately press triangle to block. When yellow or orange just hold R1 and do it. When he shoots ravens at you just use your range attack by holding L1. when in combat on ground, just keep rolling and button mash the hell out of him

Well I don't know about you, but in my manual/guide thing it says that red attacks cannot be deflected/blocked but only evaded. And to be honest, I never managed to block/deflect them either...

when he shoots the blue ones. i dont remember what button you hit, but time it correctly and you deflect it back. and use the power stance for the yellow attacks.

the red ones are hard hitters and 99% of the time will hit you, if you try to block them

lol yea the raven king was almost impossible to beat but i later realized that hard and slow combos work great on him...u just hav to keep dudging though..it took me the whole day to beat him on normal so i will never fight him in hell mode

I described below, but you probably didn't see it. You need to be in the right stance to do so (orange=power; blue=speed). When the ball hits you, you need to press triangle to deflect the bally and send them back. You really need to time it right. If you hit triangle too soon or too late, the balls hit you.

Hint: The closer you are to the Raven King, the better your chances of actually hitting him with one of his balls. When you're too far away, there's a chance that he might get out of the way before the ball hits him.

What was killing me is the timing. I could deflect sometimes or i'd get hit and try to deflect the next batch but would fail to block the next 3.

Sonic has to be really good at this because he was even behind in health and still came back and won. In the hardest difficulty at that. I struggled on normal.

Once you get the timing right, it's not that hard to defeat him. I actually think he's the easiest boss (after Flying Fox).

Well, I don't think so. For me, Whiptail's the hardest. I think Flying Fox is pretty easy if you use the right combo (even when there's multiple Flying Foxes). If you use the "angel's harvest" combo, you can kill him pretty fast, imo o_O

You have to be in the right stance (power - orange/speed - blue) and then press triangle (just like you did with Flying Fox).

ah man...i just can't seem to get those counter moves down :-/

can you just hold the stance button down and then press triangle at the correct time, or do you also have to time botth the "stance" button correctly and triangle correctly?

Sure you can - you just have to time the block right. But you still have to switch stances depending on the color of the balls. If you pay close attention, you can pretty much figure out which stance you need BEFORE he throws the balls. Usually(!) he throws the orange ones with the one hand and the blue ones with the other. You just need to practice your timing timing with the triangle. Once you figure that out, he's really pretty easy to kill :)

Use heavenly power for the fireballs and speed for the lightning.

I'm not sure if I'm doing it right though, I hit every fireball but I only got like 50% on the lightning =/

try spamming the speed-stance combos. if not, then dodge-roll, since he usually counters in raven wings, then quickly spam speed combos again. if some speed combos hit, you can go to power-stance slash to knock him down. if i had a recorder, i'd post it, but this is the best i can offer. as for bohan w/out wings, just block power-stance every time he rolls away, then attack with speed stance,

Yesterday, after weeks of not playing, without dying once, I finally beat the 2nd stage of the fight. Now all I need is the same luck and I will have have completed this great game. To beat the 2nd stage I just didn't back off on Bohan, I just hit him with everything i could. The blue bolts are impossible to deflect, the orange are possible. But in stage 3, he mixes all his attacks in one fight. I might as well not bother with HELL MODE, this is Hell mode.

actually the gameplay is great. the different stances and attacks, each stances being a chance to counter as well as block, and the ranged attack aftertouch. The bad thing is that throughout the game, its only killing people and shooting objects. if they created different ways to kill opponents, or up'd the ante in puzzles, then it'd be even better.

To counter in each stance press triangle. You have to practice countering, mainly because it can determine the battle in your favor. It only works in the right stance though. So make sure you pay attention to the blue or red flare.

you can. try spamming a 2-hit speed stance, if those connected, transfer to 1 power-stance slash to knock him down. simply countering (not the usual one, i meant attack him before he gets the chance to block) and speed-combos are bohan's weaknesses

In order to return the bolts, you must counter in the right stance. For the red bolts you must counter using the power stance. And for the blue bolts you must counter with the speed stance.

having trouble on the last boss round 3? i found out how to block his ravens throw you use range stance and spin your chains its annoying how he always flys away after a sword fight but thats what makes it more difficult i spose then use power stance to block his fire throws and roll heaps to counter attack him and use square n triangle combos heavenly sword is slow but damaging so might pay to use ure speed swords then kick the heavenly sword in to rip his life away good luck

Well, I start off with square attacks then try to finish it with holding R1 and Triangle. I try to take him little bit by little. When he is stunned go in with holding R1 and Triangle then switch to just square attacks. Thing is you wanna dodge as soon as you see him turn any color and avoid those hits. Good luck! He shoots 2 colored attacks. Blue and Yellow. When he shoots the yellow hold R1 and stop moving when his attack hits you press Triange to reflect it. If it's Blue, just stop and press Triange. Of course make sure to be facing the attack when you stop. Hope that helps!
