  • maybe the best thing christianity has to offer as far as music goes, especially metal. they made some excellent "doom" albums in the 80's and early 90's, but they were very positive albums, at least the lyrics were. the thrash metal band living sacrifice had an excellent self titled album as well, i would give them a close second.

  • Trouble son maestros del doom metal, pero en la época de Eric, y tienen temas infinitamente mejores a los de este video

  • Шедевр.что тут еще скажешь.

  • !!"!

  • I honestly think these vocals are the best! Special tormented-sounding voice. A pity Eric left the band

  • I honestly think that the vocals are the best! Very special, tormented-sounding voice.

  • 1:37-3:24 is the best part yet!! Very depressing but awsome!!

  • 3 people are Justin Bieber fans.

  • @opticomxDDDDDDDDDDDD Fuck you justin Bieber fans!!!!!!

  • one of my all time faves

    american christian doom metal =]

  • Mr. Bill Ward in thic clip!

  • ohhhhh yea

    0oo0

  • seen em open for the ramones once. still can't figure that one out..

  • @killacommie1 That's an odd pairing

  • JUST HEAVY METAL!

  • Very Sabbs-like! I had this on a cassette tape when it came out and I loved it then and now!

  • Eh, good lyrics. But, this Christian band doesn't know how to sing.

  • Awesome :))

  • This one I wanted to hear for years. Trouble is back and hell they're still a fucking doom band. DOOM ON!

  • YEP KORY ' S VOICE IS MUCH MORE SUITABLE FOR HARD BLUES ROCK BUT DOES NOT FIT THAT MUCH TO HEAVY DOOM EVEN WITH A BLUESY TOUCH TROUBLE 'S MUSIC NEEDS SOME IN DEPTH VOCALS I THINK HONESTLY !!!

  • The video is kinda corny but this song is so freakin' raw! These guys had talent man even though I'm not too much a fan of the vocals. It could be way worse!

  • @AvantGrapes I dig the vocals actually. Fits the music/instrumentation very well.

  • MONO trouble re mounia

  • this aint doom metal

  • Psalm 9 : Greatest doom metal album in metal! if you cant see that...give up.

  • good morning...!!!!!!

  • Bill Ward of Black Sabbath is the Drummer that comes in at the end of the video.

  • @raydar46 yep! ur rite bro. i over lookd that a few times til i caught ur post. thanx

  • How can someone dislike ?

  • @clonetown Check out,,,LORDAMOR-(Drawn of death)

  • This is one of James Hetfeilds bands.

  • This tour in 1987 was terrific, the light and black tour, when Trouble opened for King Diamond....terrific memories from that particular garden.

  • @gglaw42 ha thats awesome, was there in boston

  • Kory Clarke is an odd choice for Trouble's vocalist. Too bad Rob from Solitude Aeturnus is already with Candlemass, he would be excellent.

  • This brings me back to when you could pick up an album, look at the cover, read the names of the songs on the back and figure out whether or not the band was going to suck or be good 90 percent of the time.

  • wow bill ward, goddamn!!!

  • White Sabbath!!!!!!! I had all the albums until my lovely neighbor flooded my basement. Brings back killer memories.

  • absolutely love me some trouble!!!!!!!!only with eric tho!!!!!!!!

  • BILL WARD!!!!! DRUM MASTER!!!!! all HAIL BILL WARD!!!!

  • guest appearance: Joseph Stalin on drums!!! :P (It's Bill Ward actually)

  • Maybe the most underated metal band of all time when you consider the power of their music. They were SOOO friggin HEAVY! Even the early 90's stuff w/the hint of "pop-metal" was heavier and better than alot of stuff at that time... Has anyone heard "simple mind condition"? would someone tell me if its any good? Im considering finding it if its worth the

    'trouble"!!!....thanx G86

  • they fucking rule!!!

  • Oh yeah!

  • kory clarke blows! BRING BACK ERIC!!!!!!

  • @craigawsum I was a teenager when I got into Trouble. Kory Clarke does not equate. Trouble will not survivve without Eric. I used to have Eric's E- Mail addy. He's changed. I think I am going to take a trip out to Chicago when I get vacation. I will make it happen again, for music's sake.

  • Greatness!

  • Saw them two days ago in Hamburg. Band ruled again. But Kory Clarke should fuck off right away. With his shitty voice and wanna-be-rock-star-attitude he is a shame for such a legendary cult band. Rick, Bruce, c´mon, wake up and get Eric back!

  • Did you see Black Sabbath's Bill Ward take over on drums at the end? Trouble swears it's him. Been a huge fan since 1984. It's "Troubling" that singer Eric Wagner has left. I've heard that they want to get heavier and doomier and he didn't. Let's see what happens. Hey Trouble, you release it and i'll buy it! Stay Heavy!

  • I read that he just isn't up for touring anymore.

It takes alot out of yo physically and mentally.

Sucks though, because Trouble is an amazing band.

  • Saw em last night with Candlemass and Angel Witch... Amazing show

  • @sverker That sounds like the greatest show on Earth.

  • @KingOfTheDead77

Truelly was, made some friends that night. King Of the Dead ehh...? Cirith Ungol?

  • @sverker Yeah, had the song stuck in my head while creating my account.

  • @KingOfTheDead77

Im a bass player myself, and Cirith is one of my influences.

  • @sverker Cool. You in a band?

  • @KingOfTheDead77

About to start one up... me and a pal that has the same passion for old Black Metal and Doom.

Alá: Sabbath, Hellhammer, Venom and Bathory.

Since Im from stockholm I have to include bathory, he was a hero.

  • Got all their records and love each of them. Saw them two times live. Legendary Trouble, live forever!!

  • 1987;year gospel to trouble?

Im have a copilation ROCK HARD MAG(ALE) oficial video.trouble in rain, crazy,TROUBLE AWAYS RNR.MASTERS!

  • Also just for the record, Wagner came off like a total dumbass in the interview and I lost a lot of respect for them that day. Still like their old albums though.

  • I bought their first EP in 1985 and then got Psalm 9 shortly afterwards. Been into them ever since. I did find it "troubling" when I saw a recent interview with them and they completely poo poo'd their interest in christianity. I think everything changed when the band cleaned house after Run to the Light and they went in a different direction.

  • Been my favourite band since I heard the first album. Luv to see them but stuck in the uk and now Eric,s gone is there any point.

  • Gonna see em in september... cant wait:)

  • I've seen this band so many times here in Chicago. Bigger stages and small clubs. Always killer and a big influence. Doom, Christian, whatever. It all Metal.

  • I don`t believe i´m just listening to this band only a few months ago. This music deserves to be listened since.......all your life !fuck! it is so good.

  • Never heard this particular tune before. It's awesome. Man, I love youtube!

  • I dont care if its cristian or satanic shit, its sounds awesome!

  • you know I find all the christian bulsshit REALLY fucking annoying but for the record anyone who's actually read revelations realizes that the Bible is the first doom book...lol

  • Trouble=Classic Chi-Town Metal!

It's great seeing Barry Stern play drums!

  • black sabbath+judas priest+robert plant= trouble perfect

  • Not 20 yet in 87 I remember drumming along this album ( along with King Diamond's stuff) while at college. Still my favorite music and some times I met with some folks to jam this. What a feeling.

  • Comment removed

  • trouble isn't a religious band, they only care about bringing the doom. that's bill ward at the end of the video! hell yea

  • I love trouble i got to see them live the following year in 1988. still have all my trouble cassettes, they kick total ass.

  • love that Black Sabbath sound

    2 guys riffing like Tony

    very cool

  • 2.45-3.25 is godlike

  • oh Christ, another cyber-tough guy....

some people care about the music, and not how others view it. Good metal is good metal - not everyone listens to metal as a convenient way to solve their identity crisis. Furthermore... I'll dump on you and your mother, and you will do nothing

  • Love this band. they are truely the riff gods! All Hail Trouble!

  • who GIVES a fuck if their message is positive or not??? Just listen to the fuckin song and shut your dumb-ass, uneducated trap. You dipshits figure they aint "cool" to listen to because they may have a positive message. Your no better than the cunts who listen to Britney Spears because everyone else does. Christian metal/promote weed/black metal - Jesus Christ - why do you have to put it under a microscope?

    that is all....

  • Don't fucking dump on people just because they disagree with you, "dipshit." That said, I can agree with you that the taxonomizing of metal sometimes goes too far. And that there might be something cool about a band like Trouble bucking lyrical trends. (Although let's give credit where credit's due: Tony Iommi started this shit with "After Forever.")

  • Man I havent seen this in like 15 years! AWESOME! These guys were under rated!

  • Cool Vid, Make sure to Check out Some of my Live postings. For all you little kids, out there, Trouble is not Evil. They have discarded their Christian Message but they are Positive! Enjoy!

  • The semi-acoustic bit in the middle sounds like Led Zeppelin. Trouble are a truly great and under-rated band.

  • Trouble rock

  • cool -never saw this b4

  • fucking awesome!

  • wow! Christian metal has come a long way since then.

  • they're not exactly christian

  • okay, i just saw the tags and took their word for it.

  • no problem man I mean we both know that trouble rocks ass so doom on!

  • Doom Metal. Brings people together.

  • yeahh its better than any religion

  • Agreed.

  • Not christian? Have you read the lyrics to their music?

They are White Metal, basically the antithesis to Doom Metal.

  • yeah like in the skull song, it has a strong christian message, but like in bastards will pay they don't try to push religion to your throat, they sing about an insight of the world, in order of what we are acting

  • No actually get your shit straight and pick up the re-release of 'the skull'

'The Skull's' lyrics were written during Eric Wagner's most depressing time of his life.

Don't you mean Black Metal also. They have more lyrics about Satanism. Get your shit straight Doom Metal is far from Satanic.

Here is an excerpt from 'The Skull's' linear notes:

  • who gives a fuck? were not talking about Stryper here, these guys make great music!

  • Doom is far from Satanic? Guess you haven't listened to Reverend Bizarre too closely.

  • A christian metal would not be taking a lot of drugs or swearing. They promoted the use of weed on tour in 1992. Trouble aren't christian metal.

As for the music, pretty damn good.

  • Bible doesn't say that smoking weed is wrong. I'm a christian and if you ask me ganja is god's gift to mankind and brings people closer to his presence.

  • Thats the problem with you religious folk. you have to tell every one your religious: thus sparking religious debates, fights, and wars.

:-/ why cant we all just get a bong?

  • Hello chadgarland,

GOD IS LOVE (1 John 4:8), but people who abuse or reject his Word fight and make war ! James 2:24 also says "You see that a man is to be declared righteous by works, and not by faith alone."

Many (not all) churches have proven to be false witnesses !

  • fuck you stop pushing your religion on others.

  • Hello AlcoholAssault,

I smoked weed and snorted coke & speed (sorry, I'm Dutch) before I came to the LIGHT back in 1995 but remember what the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 7:1: "Therefore, since we have these promises, beloved ones, let us cleanse ourselves of every defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in God;s fear"

Smoking weed certainly defiles our lungs and spirit and according to Jesus we must love God with our whole heart, soul and...MIND ! (Matthew 22:37)

    Bless !

  • amen

  • Why does Christianity make them the antithesis of Doom Metal? I dont believe that Doom has any set religion, their faith may make them the anthitesis of Black Metal, but not Doom. And youll find the more religious aspect of their lyrics became less apparent as time went on. Either way, both Bobby Leibling and Victor Griffin of Pentagram are now Christian, and Sabbath themselves wrote After Forever, and they are the root of doom, who cares anyway, they are amazing.

  • Religion and Doom/Satanism/Hate/Whatever in their lyrics are certainly not mutually exclusive (see Slayer), but My point is that many of their lyrics are fairly heavily based on their faith. I mean, listen to Pray for the Dead. Their lyrics are almost the polar opposite of what doom metal is all about. Look at Candlemass's lyrics. They are all about isolation, depression, suicide.

  • I will grant you that they centered on themes of faith on the early albums, and some songs have lyrics that could be said to have a more "positive spiritual" message than those of their peers, but they have also done some darker material. Doom to me is the music that is closest to the sound & spirit of Black Sabbath, and that certainly applies to Trouble. Much of the bible is dark, and the kind of stuff that doom bands write about affect people of all faiths. In terms of sound they are doom.

  • Doom bands, althought generally dark theme wise have covered many styles of lyrics, from Christianity and satanism, to political and social issues, history, fantasy and horror, and seem to be accepted if they are good on a musical level and are in the spirit of Iommi and co. I guess I never thought of Trouble as "white" metal because they were waaaaaay better than any 80's Christian bands and even when they had faith based material they came across as passionate rather than preachy.

  • MAN..I love trouble i still have this cd in good shape and some other trouble albums. nice videos.

  • at the 4:28 mark, was that Bill Ward taking over the kit? man this song is so HEAVY.

  • Yes, I remember reading something about this video, a couple centuries ago(ok so it just seems like it), and Bill Ward did make an appearance in this vid.

  • Great.

  • Was ein Müll!!!!!

  • Saw them last night in Hamburg where they even played Run to the Light! Can´t get any better than this! I love Trouble forever! Pure magic that it is. Cheers to the walrus!

  • If just bands had feeling these days.
