@tingokuman yeah, you can get one for a few grand.. but its not gonna be in good shape.. cost of ownership is too much for some people, so they skip maintenance cost.. dont expect a poorly maintained porsche to be reliable.. if you buy one, make sure it has full and recent history.. if it doesnt have recent full maintenance records, do one of 3 things: 1). walk away 2). take it immediately to a workshop 3). expect it to explode while ur showing to your girl off by briefly smoking a trans am

Yes the 928 was an unusual design choice for Porsche in my opinion but I ended up liking it, espcially the later models such as the S4 or GTS.

i love how people say the 928 isnt a "true" porsche. but i thinks its funny how the 928 was the fastest, best handling, and nicest porsche in the 80's. dont get me wrong 911s are amazing but you have to respect the 928. i have an 84 928S and that car does 160 like nothing. im just saying respect the 928. i mean come on, it was and still is the only car with 4 wheel steering.

@duke87144 Yep, it was their sleeper car. I never really like the 928 but I do know about it. For those who think a real Porsche is a air cooled rear engine car, your wrong. Porsche first was an electric car with the motors in the wheels. Porsche is all about inovation, and the 928 is just that.

@duke87144 Actually, I personally like the 959 more in the 80's but the 928 is definitely a true Porsche. It was actually made in order to replace the 911 but the sales failed to reach the target. Great car, if only I was able to afford an S4 model though :P

I love how it shows it to go over 160 like its nothing, I wonder how steep in the incline was when they were going downhill because no 928 stock will run THAT fast especially a automatic. dont get me wrong they will do 160+ in perfect tune, just not as fast as a freaking 911.
