It was cheaper because they only replaced the digitizer, as you can see from the video, the LCD is ok. Still, a very good price. I'm starting to like LG more and more. Good job.

I actually don't have the problem anymore. Had the screen replaced by LG for just $5!!! Couldn't believe my ears when they told me how much it would cost. I love the phone even better after all this!

First I tried to have the screen replaced by non-official repair shops (since they were closer to where I live and I also thought non-official shops would be cheaper). They asked from $90 to $150. Then I called LG tech support and they offered to replace the screen for just $5. It was in July 2011, in Moscow, Russia. As far as I know, now it's a little bit more expensive - something from $15 to $20 (depending on the exchange rate).

Are you kidding me?LG replaced it for 5$??? Did U have some kind of insurance? I doubt it is within the warranty....To buy a new Touchscreen (which seems to be implied when you wanna change glass) costs 60€ at the best retailer, haven't got a price from LG yet. and then you would also need to pay someone to change it to not void the warranty....BUT considering that they are like 3 months late with gingerbread for the european verision, they should show good costumer care. yes?

no glasses is unbreakable, gorilla glass meant to be scratch proof, harder than normal glasses, but it still break if you dropped it hard enough

still that word, take care of ur portable device, avoid dropping ur device :)

One of my friends dropped it as well. Broke the glass similarly.

I'm now reconsidering the purchase of this phone.

@55226013 how to set up this 'slide-finger-up' gesture (0:47 and 0:57) to put the phone to standby? Does the LG launcher have it or you have to install different launcher to use this function? I see that you are using launcher pro. Sorry about the display man, hope you'll be able to fix it.

The LG launcher doesn't allow this. I'm using GO Lauhcher EX + Screen Off and Lock.
