I bought one on ebay yesterday, but it is small, about only the size of the charger. And you plug the solar screen DIRECTLY into the iphone or ipod touch and charge it from anywhere, search it on ebay, there are tons of them! Search "ipod solar". It works with any Ipod or Iphone. :)

I have the camera with a tripod. It's either a Digital camera that takes video, like Nikon Coolpix or Panasonic Lumix, or a Sony TRV20 miniDV.

Haha.. no.. I don't think so. Calculator's can charge off of light.. Solar Pannels absorb light and converts it into electricity.. you can do the same thing with any other electric item if your smart enough.

Yes, I made both videos. This is about 40 sec longer and shows different configurations to charge iPods, with a solar panel, and just with a headlamp. I just wanted to separate the solar energy videos from the others.

The video "charging ipods with an onion and electrolytes" is a scam. By plugging the iPod's USB cable to an onion, the only thing you get is the USB connector dirty and stinky! Small iPods, like nano, need 5 volt and about 200 to 260 mA from the USB connector.

I think charging iPods with an onion it's a very environmental way, but I tried and it didn't work; beside my wife told me: "if you take onions to our camping-vacations, you sleep outside!". So I found this headlamp and it really does the job, and no mess!! 100% green solar power

using an onion only have like 20ma which is barrily enough to light an LED so it is not going to charge you ipod very well
