@flynnlandscaping I have never had the track come off ours , either you have the track too loose (increase the tension) or something worn on rear track wheels thats causing them to wobble.
They do have skid shoes, but just not where you are accustomed to seeing them. Usually they'd be on the sides of the auger housing, on the Honda they are just behind the scraper blade. I'm guessing this is related to the 3 position adjustment on the blower that lets you set it a few inches above the ground for rough stuff, even with the ground for flat stuff, or bearing down on the ground for scraping packed snow or ice.
i love my track snow blower, its very nice to have. and yes they are very hard to steer and move around and to that easier u have to start it up. troy built is a expensive model and noway i would buy them cause its too expensive
now i have craftsman track drive snow blower with a 5hp tecumseh engine. is that a crappy buy. anyways i got it only $100.00 bucks at a flea market in great condition.
track drive... whats your opinion on the track drive? i heard they are hard to stear. is this true? I see a troy bilt for sale at lowes with a track drive. they are so expensive though.
No Tecumseh are great motors a lot of people say there crappy because they probably don't know how to fix them but that's probably the 2nd best motor. Honda's are very expansive reliable engines that are just known to last But i have a johnson snowblower from the early 70"s with a Tecumseh engine that runs great take care of the motors and general where and it will last many years
This machine will put a smile on any gearhead's face!

Did you bring yours in to a Honda service center get the recall fixed? There is a problem with the fuel tank leaking on the newer models.

Why do honda snow blowers don't have skid shoes? I noticed on every video of one that they are not there.

I have a Honda HS 9 28 (battery start, joy stick operated chute). They are expensive, but you'll never have to buy another one. Quality plus!!

Can't agree more on starting, I tossed my tecumseh in favour of a GX240, night and day!

Honda looks like better quality, no? I realize that they are more expansive than the competition but I also assume they are more reliable, right?

you can get alot cheaper one thats just as reliable and starts on first pull

@260191894 There is no better snowblower out there than a Honda. #1 in reliability and they last forever
