Turn right (West) to head clockwise along Alps circle I can''t wait. I am going on my own so Im nervous :s At least I am not going until 5th August so maybe I will meet people that want to tag :)

I did this last year (plus a few more countries) and it was the best trip of my life. Forget your summer holidays at the beach or your skiing in the snow, there is simply nothing like riding your bike across the world with your mate(s).

For EU countries no you dont need your passport (presuming your from the EU). There are no boarders most places. You will need it in Switzerland though. We got strip searched for an hour going through switzerland the first time we went through it by accident! The swiss are mainly dickheads too but we did meet one nice guy. They do have a gorgeous country all the same. If you intend driving outside of the EU countries like Switzerland you'll need to tell your insurance company. Thats it.
