It has cut the drop out rates in Niagara by 3/4. Also, don't assume that you are better educated in police tactics than the police are. They know what they are doing, they graduated from the academy, you didn't. That's not to say there are not bad police officers around, there are, but in this case I think the officers are completely justified. wow..the officer is so confused and scared! My heart goes out to him. I understand the anger and frustration with our "justice" system and those we have given our power to...just remember, OUR system is made of humans and ideas, and we are FAMILY. The aggressive officer might be a father or an uncle with the same basic desires as any human. He was definitely a little boy at one point, so I just am encouraging more compassion for the people, which would mean less HASSLES for everyone.

If i was a police officer(which I would never be), I am not sure how I would have handled the situation. He should have sensed that they wanted to make a statement and let them make it on public property. duh.

@1freedomfighter Well that "pig" is actually a great person who started and runs a program that helps keep high school kids at risk of dropping our getting expelled a second chance to stay in school. It has cut the drop out rates in Niagara by 3/4. He is nothing but an asset to my community, I never had to deal with him but I have friends who did and they are nothing but grateful to officer Stewart and how he worked personally with them to get a second chance and get their lives back on track..

Also, don't assume that you are better educated in police tactics than the police are. They know what they are doing, they graduated from the academy, you didn't. That's not to say there are not bad police officers around, there are, but in this case I think the officers are completely justified. Have respect for their authority and the cause for which you're protesting by obeying the rules and not allowing your protest to turn into the debacle that this protest turns into.

If the police say "you can't come in right now" then you sure as hell better obey. If you don't, you end up in cuffs, that's how it works. You have the right to protest, absolutely, but you have to protest within the framework they give you. If you have a problem, take it up in a civilized manner later.
