when somebody told you treating animals wrong is good he was wrong. All lives in the world are treated bad everyday, you are not the only one. You dont need to add cruelty. Caught a mouse using "The Better Mouse Trap". It sure struggled to get free. But these guys know how to play dead. I tried poking it and making some noise to get it to move but nothing so I was sure it was dead and then when I toss it in the trash, it tried to get out.... good thing I had a lid on it. These make pretty good pets though when they're not trying to destroy your food and house.
Anyone besides me know that you can fill a 1 gallon can 1/2 with water, place it in a corner, and mice will fill it? They seem to have a thing about investigating all corners. I didn't have mousetraps at my cabin, and tried this, it worked amazing! Better than the traps! No food bait, just water. They'd wake me up scratching as they drowned.

actually the things dead the legs are just moving because of shock, a nervous twitch. Rodents do that when they get their neck broken or skull fractured. the mouse died the second the wire hit him but his body continues to pulse with the last bit or energy remaining in its nerves. hence the kicking and seemingly trying to escape. If it were alive its eyes would be moving and it would be making a lot of noise.
I really hope this is true. I have mice in my house and have just started setting out traps, but don't like the idea of it being alive long after they have been entrapped.
