Hello I am joining the army too....Yes I am a girl...but that doesn't matter. My family history is the military and I am marrying a soldier too. I pray for all the soldiers over in Iraq and other hoping they will make it home safe!!!! I want to serve my country and protect all of the people in this country! most people know nothing of what these guys go through. it's hard i know i lost my cousin and my best childhood friend due to a road side bomb!! the hardest thing about dealing with the fact that people have less respect for what we do. what people may call a toy war...for us is something we go through every day wishing that a fallen comrade was us instead of them. so you can't really experience the pain unless your right there.

true and false. been in the military for 11 years. the first 9 were all hands on. the past 2 i have seen a ton of new video games used for training, for all kinds of things.guarding a check point, night fires, rules of engagment, and even moeing a ship lol. gamers r good at them. the thing is they fail when it comes to the hands on. having wet hands,not pushing reset, or pissed now they r really laying in the mud trying to do real things.good at the games, but turn into complainers in real life
