When I was a grad student at Indiana University, Serebrier came to Bloomington to perform the 4th. Absolutely amazing! Unfortunately, I have not had another chance to hear it performed, but would jump at the chance to hear it again.

while i have a lot of Ives' favorites, this movement from the 4th is my singular all-time favorite piece of music, period... though I still somehow prefer the first version I heard (imperfections and all) way back when by Stokowski
Someone needs to let the writer of this video that while it was written by Handel, "Joy to the World" is not from "Messiah".
