I've been racing on iRacing for almost 1 week now. I've had less than 5 starts and i pulled my first win last night! It's hard being in the Rookie series. SR's always my biggest worry. Example, I'm in 2nd, running around -1.0 from the leader on South Boston. One young driver from the sound of his voice, was -2laps and racing me hard for really no reason. On lap 39 coming out of turn 2, he slipped up into me. We ended up wrecking a few people. I was furious, I lost -.10 SR. 4 clean R's to recoup
I am a class b....thought i'd be cute and go win a few rookie races....big mistake. After 3 wrecks and a huge drop in SR I finally learned my lesson. Stay where you belong.
good vid man it shows how some rooks don't know how to get out of the way and get there safety rating up about twenty mins ago i just scored my first iracing win!!!! i'm soo pumped and it was a race to remember catch me on iracing if you want lane belue at iracing
That`s why it`s called the rookie series. If you knew how to drive and avoid some accidents you would advance up to where the better drivers are. Iracing is better off without you. Learn to drive and come back someday and you may be able to race with the big boys yet.
@winters19 Right on! Sorry for going off, as i worked my way through the rookie series, i grew more and more frustrated at the complaints. I can watch the rookie drivers with a smile on my face thinking, yep that was me at one time. Learning online racing with NR2003 season and running the open servers exclusively, i soon could feel when trouble was about to happen. I`m now able to avoid most wrecks or at least wreck in such a way as to save the car, most of the time. I`m Jim Gibson at iracing
@xjim No worries! I have learned patience prevails in most races. I'd rather have a fun, clean professional race than have to sweat bullets over SR in a rookie series (we all got to learn somewhere). I'm Nick Winters, Nice to meet ya Jim!
Trying to find clean races in rF, LFS or anything else, is like trying to win on a slot machine. I quit racing online years ago because of that fact alone. iRacing has brought me back and I hardly ever see huge issues like in this video. You WILL run across someone who will sabotage your SR, but it's only like once a month or so, at most. For me anyway.
It amazes me that people pay for this game and they still go out and drive like a idiot. That just makes no sense. Im still planning on doing this game it just amazes me i see this all the time on xbox live racing and i wanna get outta that crap
iracing is the best sim. hands down, but its not for the impatiiont, if you want saft rating your better off just hanging around the advance seres, but early in the morrning rookie classes are a little cleaner, and yes it does cost a little more than alot of us want to pay, but as for the cars and tracks, you only have to buy them once.... "just thought i would throw my oppinion out there, and i know my spelling sucks"
hey just wondering not trying to be jerk or anything but how many you won now? and have you won a race in advance? i can help you get a good setup if you want in advance.
1st, dont ever call me a jackass. 2nd, real cars cost muuuuuuch more and the only thing that doesnt feel real is the motion which can be replicated with a motion simulator. sure, it wont be the same excitement and wont feel exactly the same, but itll cost less and u wont die if you crash hard. also, i have rfactor and it doesnt compare to IR
As stupid as it looks I would gladly see this type of thing in motorsports. It gets boring when everyone does everything right all the time. I mean the most watched races are the ones with wrecks right?
just looks like a guy making some mistakes?? I don't see any problems here.
If you're going to race the rookie series expect some mistakes. How about instead you stop being a whiney pussie and come race in the proper series instead of racing against noobs.
why dont I go to the advanced series? Cause I dont want to be that guy. I want to do it right the first time. No need for call outs. I mentioned no names when posting this, so dont be a prick about it. Also, In that race the whole field was pissed at that guy cause he wouldnt listen to any of us.
Yes but even rookie or whoever joins a race should be familiar with basic things how to behave, and at least have little bit of car control. That guy clearly lacks both.
Yeah, but at the same time you shouldn't be surprised to see stuff like this happening. Not everyone is patient enough to run solo practice and time trials until they are ready to race. Sometimes it's best just to offer to help some of the noobs out.
Just a rookie that needs alot more practice and is using a cheap steering wheel!
I used a cheap one in beginning and it's so easy to lose control if no FFB!
His D licence is prob about 2 yrs away lol

That is sad. I'm 13 and I've already won a Rookie race.
I've been wrecked out twice from the lead, because of idiots like that. Can't they hit F3? He was blocking me as I was lapping him.
I usually do 16.2's qually, 16.3's race.
I can do 15.7's in the advanced car, but my setup sucks.
Then again, my safety rating is down to 2.31 (I Need 3.00) due to other peoples stupidity.

this is the reason i quit iracing... you lose points due to other peoples' stupidity, i like the idea but its soo damn frusterating!

I gave it up too. I'd much rather play Rfactor and LFS.
winters19 2 years ago
And to think, this person pays 200$ a year to do this. LOL
Austin34471 2 years ago
156 actually, and it's worth it. rfactor feels like shit compared to this. rfactor feels like an arcade game. dunno if its my setup
jose7777777777777777 2 years ago
Oh good catch. Those 44$s less makes my point completely irrelevant. Jackass.
And its more like 400$ if you want more than legend cars and pontiac solstices.

What happens if someone drives the wrong way around the track?
Puppykins88 2 years ago
you get suspended indefinitely. 6-8 weeks account suspension.
winters19 2 years ago
Wow this seems a pretty serious game.
What about if it was an accident?
Puppykins88 2 years ago
I wouldnt think that driving around the track backwards would be "accidental". If you wreck a car unintentionally you will not get penalized.
winters19 2 years ago
Yes, very serious! It's a true sim. Not much of a "game" at all.

I don't see anything really terrible there...
Hes new to racing... You don't learn much on a track by yourself, especially in oval racing.
his spins were either being on the high line, or clipping the apron, both rookie mistakes...
