Why would a doctor refuse?? Did he give you a reason? The friend for whom I've been researching this issue described an incident during which he accidentally cut his finger with a butcher's knife. It started bleeding really badly. A few seconds later, he could feel something rush through his skin to the wound. He saw them, for the first time, as they reached the wound and quickly clotted it forming a sharp bump over the cut.
