Green Day was the first band I ever listened to. My uncle gave me a copy of Dookie when I was 12 or so. I must have listened to that, Insomniac, and Nimrod a thousand times through elemtentary/middle school. I've long since moved on, and become something of a full on metal head. I've even renounced my old favorites a few times in "heated" discussions. But I'll always have a soft spot for Green Day, hearing this song brings back so many great memories of my youth. I bet I'm not the only one.

It's something you don't forget. Green Day was my first love. I thank her to this day for getting me into good music. Green Day was the first band I ever listened to. My uncle gave me a copy of Dookie when I was 12 or so. I must have listened to that, Insomniac, and Nimrod a thousand times through elemtentary/middle school. I've long since moved on, and become something of a full on metal head. I've even renounced my old favorites a few times in "heated" discussions. But I'll always have a soft spot for Green Day, hearing this song brings back so many great memories of my youth. I bet I'm not the only one.

@Rainmaker666 yeah dude me too.. well. right now.. i've found a way to listen to both metal and pop punk. i remember my dad having me listen to dookie and dark side of the moon by pink floyd over and over again. now i'm playing lamb of god, slayer, mayhem, venom, all that good stuff.. but when i here when i come around or any GD song for that matter.. i can't help but sing the whole song..

@Rainmaker666 you're not the only one.. My Mom bought me Dookie back in 2nd or 3rd grade. I just remember listening to it over and over again learning all the words to every song. It's something you don't forget. Green Day was my first love. I thank her to this day for getting me into good music. When I was little, and I mean little.. she damn near yelled at me for not having heard of Metallica.

@simpleboy98 what the author is saying in the song is that basically hes his own worst enemy, and a pessimist. his life has pretty much gone down the sh*tter and thats why its named after the toilet brand. they changed the spelling by personal choice and cause they wanted to be different. hope this was what your looking for, and i hope i summed this up right! haha
