  • watch this on acid.

    mind = blown

  • Wow this is one of the best I've seen. I NEED to learn mandelbulber now. Mandelbulb3D just doesn't compare for lighting effects

  • CASPITERINAAAAA......son rimasto 5 minuti come un allocco......che dire ? grazie :-)

  • wonderful

  • Beautiful, brilliant, thank you

  • Its like a myst world

  • probably the coolest thing i've ever seen.

  • Nice one. Mandelbox is discovered a bitt more than one year agou.

  • It's like a Divine Moment of Truth!

  • INDESCRIPABLE!!

  • the construction of the amazing worlds by fractals, great opportunities in the field of mathematics extreme. Fractals always open doors for some people who want the unusual, be able to show by construction random an extraordinary world. BRAVO!

  • was this like crazy hard to make? how longdid it take?

  • This video needs to be in 3d.

  • In the descriptoin it says that this was a test. You must be a fancy guy.

  • All i can say is: Amazing job!!!

  • watch it with mary

  • how long does this take to render each frame?

  • @dailyflossproduction, about 90 seconds

  • @xlace How many frames per sec? Would take like 5 1/2 days if it was 30 fps, right? xD

  • @xlace so it took you 12 days to render it.

  • can anyone explain to me in a few words what is a mandelbul or whatever that is?

  • ducking math

  • I can watch this for 3 hours in cinema with 3D glasses on, great music too.

  • MAKE. INTO. MOVIE. NAO.

    >:/

  • Oh my god.

  • Just shit myself

  • All the video artefacts make it even more incomprehensible. ;)

In 100 years people will see digital artefacts the same way we look at film grain so nostalgicly today.

I imagine the pioneers of motion picture would think we're all insane for liking our films grainy, they strived for the perfect image, but art isn't always perfect - rather it's the imperfections which make the piece... the Mona Lisa's smile or Shakespear's use of grammar for example.

  • I think I'd shit myself If I was tripping when I found this...

  • Minecraft

  • @Regginyaga Fully destructible/buildable fractal worlds would be great!

  • @Regginyaga It made me think of minecraft which uses fractals too. Imagine a 3D city made from a single fractal. You'd need to be able to fly but oh well.

  • i came.

  • Idea: This infinite landscape is the setting for a video game. You and your expedition team have become separated in this box and all you have is audio communication, and a spacetime-bender (similar to the tesseracts of A Wrinkle in Time or the portal gun from Portal). You need to use logic, mathematics and physics to find each other (I wouldn't know how that would exactly work, somebody with a physics degree help me out here haha)

  • Am i high? i really dunno any more lool

  • This would make a great setting for a fantasy rpg

  • @WandaThePanda Hm... I think a fractal building/adventure game would be more epic, like Minecraft with infinite detail or something.

  • @WandaThePanda Haha, I was about to say it looks like the last dungeon in a Final Fantasy game.

  • i wanna see this in 3d

  • Krzysztof, you opened a door to completely new universe

  • trippy.....

  • hardest game of hide an seek EVER!!!!

  • Fantastic video and music. how did you animate this with madelbulber?

  • Finally something to do with the 6-core computer i have in the other room...

  • for a while it feels like... infinity...

  • @goodgoodgoodful it is infinite

  • The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new lands but seeing with new eyes. - Marcel Proust

  • Mandlebox+real life= Hardest game of hide-and-seek ever.

  • Who needs LSD when you've got math?!

  • I want 1080p

  • This makes me ponder how amazing videogames and digitally rendered graphics must be in a decade from now.

  • Why can't I find a blender tutorial of this?

  • I want to live here.

  • why would people dislike this? close minded fools thats why..

i thought this was beautiful, love how it was all so abstract, but very strictly geometrical all the while. like entering the subconscious mind

  • This is beautiful. It's like a trip through some sort of elven city.

  • Oh god I can see forever

  • The world of dreams

  • absolutely phenomenal. Thanks.

  • I would have liked it to keep zooming in. It got to a certain scale and then I felt like I was on a sight-seeing trip of things that look like shapes I've seen in fractals, but I wanted to dive into them, and couldn't. Cool video.

  • AMAZING JOB!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!

  • Someone should use this in a science fiction video game. By the way, what is the formula you used?

  • The colors remind me of an ancient city. The atmospheric effects are perfect for this. It really feels like a stone city in space.

  • omgomgomg is GOLDEN

  • Wow, thats awesome.. COmes out looking like some seriously freaky architecture! I wonder if there would be any advantage to building like that in reality (aerodynamics etc?), would be pretty light-weight, those arches could be strong..

  • @ 2:24 dsa fihsies ! omg

  • I wanna see Morgan Freeman narrate this.

  • @joosy18, please visit sites.google.com/site/mandelbulber/user-manual

  • there's got to be a movie made that involves fractals and this enchanting world.

  • go there, nooo!!, shit!!, give me that camera >:(

  • This is one of the best mandelbox flythroughs.

  • i feel like i'm in a Space Station !

  • pure poetry.

  • wowowowowowowowow incredible¡¡¡¡ no words¡¡

  • The first thing I did after watching this was to track down clips of the two V'ger segments from the first Star Trek movie and play them in the background. Its amazing how well they fit!

  • whoa, its a shape inside a shape inside a shape... Geometry meets Inception, I suddenly love math

  • I want a screen saver of it! :)

  • you would never land, if you played in a mandelbox :D

would be awesome for air-combat games.

  • perfect shooter level. I can see the hanging grass and flying steamrobots and dragons n whatever popping up ! games need more creative math x)

  • Very cool.

  • thumbs up if you've seen the "math"

  • I want to watch it in IMAX

  • Cream of the crop.

  • MUST MAKE STEREOSCOPIC VIDEO OF THIS!

  • @MsHojat

    Totally second that

  • My god, this is beautiful. I hope that eventually some link can be found to these sets of "contained infinity" in relation to our tangible universe. Wouldn't it be spectacular to traverse one of these?

  • mógłbyś opisać na jakim sprzęcie to robiłeś i mniej więcej krótki opis jak to się robi?

  • I turned the sound off, put some william basinski on instead.

  • Now, would that be Narnia, or Atlantis you filmed there?

  • probably the best thing i've seen on youtube in a long time

  • I for one welcome our new Borg overlords

  • Mandelbrot³

  • I showed this to a group of my stoned friends. They established that it is in fact a molecule from a cathedral, but it's made up of thousands of tiny cathedrals.

  • @Hoboiam

more like gazillions of tiny cathedrals

  • HOLY CRAP. It's like a titanic cathedral... made of Swiss watch parts, fabricated from amber and voodoo.

  • An absolute beauty!

If God exist, I think this is his real aspect...

  • sublime!

  • Nice.

  • Whoa

  • Ahh, the beauty of pure math. The green bits look like moss and make it look like it belongs to an ancient structure from an ancient civilization.

  • I would love to live there ...

  • One of the best and most original I've ever seen ... Very nice work! Thanks for sharing :)

  • My butt just fell off.

  • там внутри походу можно жизнь прожить.

  • It's beautiful.

  • Indirect proof of the nonexistence of God

  • awesome :D

  • I'm sorry for my mistake. But it not so easy for me to recognize difference between Russian and Ukrainian languages. I know only few words in Russian. Please imagine, you have to recognize Spanish and Portuguese. Difference will be also subtle.

  • @xlace spanish and portuguese subtle difference???? hahahahahaahahah please refrain from opinionizing things you have no idea of

  • @neckerman for a foreign one, there may be few differences, Im spanish, and portuguese has similarities.

  • @bestplugins all latin-based languages share similiraties, in fact, spanish is simillar to italian soundwise, and simillar to portuguese grammarwise....u know both languages, they don`t sound alike at all(not in a subtle way)...If someone can`t tell the difference easily .......

  • @xlace Actually, there is one but absolutely recognizable difference. We dont have letter "i" in Russian;)

  • @xlace Learn to save your arse LOL. You're meant to say "I meant the Russian alphabet, not language"

  • @xlace if you want to recognize Ukrainian language, simply check the text for a letters " i, ї, є ". This letters not exist in Russian. Can you tell me the difference between Spanish and Portuguese alphabet ?

  • @Gelones On the spanish alphabet there are some letters that do not exist in the portuguese, like "ñ" and "ll" (LL)...although, you may eventualy see some brazilian or portuguese guy saying "ñ", it's the abbreviation for "não" (no).

  • I swear I could see Venetian gardens down there.

  • @kernytskyy, Przepraszam, ale po rosyjsku nie rozumiem.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand Russian language.

  • @xlace It is in Urkainian, not Russian.

  • @xlace Learn Albanian, dude. This is Ukrainian

  • @xlace It's not Russian, it's Ukranian

  • @xlace this is not a Russian, a Ukrainian language.

  • Comment removed

  • @xlace Jen Dobri. This is Ukrainian language. They steal oil from Russia, and Putin steals their money

  • @xlace

  • @xlace It's not Russian so we don't understand it too.

He says that it's cubic form fractal by Tom Lowe in 2010.

    Fractal's formula is v= s * ballFold (r,f*boxFold(v))+c

    and something else ...

  • @xlace this is not Russian

  • @Iron118able, How many you will repeat that it is not Russian? Now I know that it is Ukrainian.

  • @Iron118able Украина !!!

  • utterly magnificent

  • sorry guys...can somebody explane me what is this?:(

  • This would look so awesome in 3d at Imax

  • a small slice of infinity...well done!!!

  • R.I.P. Benoit Mandelbrot..

  • well looks like the Borg just adapted Victorian class! looked alot like it!

  • so... reality is a fractal... interesting...

  • If this were colored darkly, and had some creepy lighting, it'd make an amazing "alien mothership interior" for a sci-fi movie.

Imagine if this was the inside if the Independence Day mothership. It'd rule.

  • Anyone else itchy now?

  • it's clear to me that reality is fractal. self-similarity is everywhere. dimensions seamlessly blend into each other.

  • MY BRAIN IS FULL OF CUBED FUCK

  • @jamin3d

i too have visited such places

  • Very very good surface shaders, makes the fractal look truly great. What are the settings for the fractal itself (scale, frad, mrad)?

  • @Teraflop4096, scale =-1.73, mrad = 0.5, frad = 1.0

  • This is undoubtedly the most amazing CG animation I've ever seen.

  • can you upload a hq version to something like megaupload so we can download this without the compression artifacts

  • its the borg

  • This is really magical, man. Superb job.

  • O_O The beauty of this is astounding!

  • I hope someone can coat this in top soil and populate it with life!

  • It looks like a super advanced alien spaceship. Amazing

  • Absolutely beautiful. Brilliant mandelbox set, and great colors. One of the best mandelbulb anims I've seen so far. So inspiring... Thank you, I really enjoyed watching this video!!

  • My Head explodes .

  • Gorgeous Flythrough!! Really nice work!!

  • 0:15 Aperture Science Weighted Storage Cubes!

  • Is it possible for you to upload the original on rapidshare or something like that?

  • This is what happened when engineers made a map of Lawnmower Man's mind.

  • Benoit Mandelbrot - Requiescat in pace +

  • What a intergalactic journey ,,really good ,,thank,s

  • omg..... my eyes had an orgasm.

  • Love it. What is the music? Would like more!

  • nothing short of AMAZING!!! and I absolutely LOVE the music. A FRACTAL MASTERPIECE IMHO!!
