Sure people "might be downsizing," but I think for them to test the car's appeal as a family vehicle is ridiculous! It's supposed to be a subcompact, he even said it himself.

While the Fit has no problem carrying people, it clearly isn't meant to carry 5 with a baby seat in the middle. The Yaris can't even sit 3 in the back, let alone a baby seat. Clearly to do that you need a larger car..

We love our 2010 fit. I am 6'3", 270 and I fit just fine. Also a big fan of 32 mpg. It won't win any drag races but our 5-speed is still fun to drive, and the car is extremely nimble and agile.

Trust me, once you buy Honda, You'll wish that you'll never change your car. And Honda has MUCH MORE RELIABILITY THAN TOYOTA. Trust me. My a few of my family is having Toyota cars now, they got dissapointed about why did they buy Toyota? Toyota is like cheap car, it broke down or something was not right about 5 times a year, Honda is NONE. They experience that Toyota Sucks. Even my friend got dissapointed when they bought Yaris and they eventually bought Honda Fit 2009.

The Fit does better on crash tests than the Versa, but the Versa is far more appealing in terms of interior room. From what I have heard, Versas have had some quality issues, too. That's a shame, because both the Fit and the Versa are nice choices for people who don't want to break the bank to buy a new car. I hope both cars improve.

LOL. Yeah, it was a little bit misrepresentative. I like getting a few points of view, though. I spent a week doing some research on cars and I know how hondas have performed for us in the past and for me it was a pretty easy choice. The gorgeous MY09 Jazz/Fit model is hard to pass up - especially seeing as though in Australia, the main competition is suzuki swift and toyota yaris. Both have inferior inside quality and design and nowhere near the space. Honda magic seats are VERY innovative!

I'm 6'4 and I think the fit is roomy, Its got tons of headroom and legroom is fine.  Even if your legs hit the seat it doesnt hurt. My brother owns a New Civic EX-L and I hit my head on the ceiling in the back, also the back of the front seats are covered with hard plastic and those actually do hurt your legs. I think the Fit rides smooth, just not as smooth as those "riding on jello family cars" they speak of in the video. People wine too much.

Take a look on Honda's website at the different hwy/city MPGs in both manual and auto trans and you can see that, on average, the Fit does use more fuel. What is odd is that the Civic is heavier and that the Civic's engine is larger and more potent than that of the Fit, so the Fit should get more MPG.

The fir is taller and less aerodynamic, thats why it can't match civic highway MPGs. As you can see in the city, Fits MPGs are better. Fits engine also pulls a little more torque early in the rew range, thus using more fuel in comparison to in's size.

I wish they would have talked about the car more! I hate when reviewers don't focus on the target market of a car like this. It isn't families! A mini-van is for families. A Fit is targeted at younger drivers who want to zip around the city and save gas. Or they're for a single guy like me who wants to go hiking/camping/fishing with a buddy and needs to transport stuff. I rarely have anyone else in the car with me so don't make this car something it isn't really designed to be.

It's true, Smart claims to get 45-50 MPG but mainy claim it gets a lot less. I heard the Fit gets more, which is ironic because it's bigger. Style wise the fit is bland looking. They should add some fenders and a chrome grill at least. The civic hybrid wheels would look much better than those spoke wheel too.
