Can someone explain how this game works. I see people getting hit but not taking damage, and then other times taking damage.

This game has to different type of attacks brave attacks and hp attacks. you use brave attacks to take away brave away from your opponent to increase your own brave. The amount of brave you have is equivalent to the amount of damage an hp attack will cause. Example: if you have 500 brave if you successfully hit with a hp attack it will cause 500 damage. So thats why some attacks did damage and others didnt. oo the amount of brave you have is shown on top of t he health bar its those big numbers

i hate zidane with a passion. i like his fighting style, but his voice is really annoying and his AI continually spam brave to HP attacks

For all those who are saying something is wrong with zidanes voice i can tell u honestly there isnt all the japanese animes games etc have few of these girls as guys if u just accept that it will sound kinda normal only thing annoying is his osoi yo he says everytime he jumps, that definitely gets repetitive but jecht cant get repetitive ora ora oraaa~ :D

It is in fact the same VA as Ed Elric from FMA.
