nice job, i reupholstered a 169 year old couch, it was signed by the maker & now its worth 10.000 euro, anything antique signed by the maker you should X ten times the value, cool r wat.
I have a old couch 81"X32" and it was reupholstered 7 years ago, nothing is wrong with the frame, I just want a new print. About how much do you think it would cost to have it done?
@1trasher Oh wow it kind of depends on what material you get . They have different widths and weather you are matching a pattern . Also weather its a 2 or 3 cushion The place you get the material from should be able to help you
where did u learn to do this. I am retiring from my first career this month and was looking to do something fun with my second. I have been looking into scchools and vids or DVD but have found nothing, any help?
@jiggahippo I started as a helper in high school and later taught my self and then worked as an upholsterer for while . Some collages do offer upholstery classes
Thank you for showing your amazing talent! If you reupholster another couch or chair can you show step by step how to fix the structural damage? I would love to know the tools to use and how to craft a new piece to repair the damage parts.
The only thing is , every repair may be slightly to completely different because of different break angle where damaged and grain running another direction . I kind of look at each one and then decide what needs to be done .
There are so many talented, Creative people out there like yourself, to have this done and pay someone is a fortune, Thanks for inspiring us out here who think this is over our heads.
very good job buddy! i would rather pay a local person making a livelihood in a professional trade/craft. then buy some garbage osb/particle board farce.
Wow, amazing job my man. It looks like you are a professional, as your work looks it. I am going to be reupholstering an ottoman tomorrow. I hope it comes out as nice as your stuff. I am going to try!
Very Nice work. We share the same interest...although Im not as experienced as you are. I just found a great large ottoman (large enough to use as a coffee table) I took all the fabric off and now just left w/ the frame...
