nah see hawaii is a great example of whats going to happen ...the hotels move in and force the people to work for low pay...the North American Union will be a communist constitution with 30cents a hour and 35amero a week pay grade for "labor fields" this includes doctors...this is much like the EU where you lose your rights the suprem court wouldn't be the high court of the land.

true thats how long we have been on this slippery slope to dictatorship..the United States wasn't started as a empire..Texas actually had to talk the United States into excepting us..california was easier all they had to do was tell the US goverment that the Russians and French both had troops landing in calafornia and washington and off they went..but texas was a country for about 2 years.

What Europe is that. Its not the one I live in. The Europe where I live is a resounding success - economically, and socially, with countries queing up to get in. The part of it that I live in - Ireland, is the one that's probably the most Americanised, which is why we don't enjoy as good a quality of life as, say, some of the nordic countries.

But, what is so bad about the concept of a United States of Europe ? To me it's a noble, exciting and credible aspiration.
