  • amazing : )

    Thats hard to play.

I love it, thanks for sharing your guitar skills

  • Very nice! I can see you like Ponce as much as I do, could you post estrellita by Ponce? thanks.

  • I don't play it, or I would.

    I do love Ponce.

Maybe I'll learn Estrellita. If I do I'll post it.

  • well done

  • Nicely done. And not rushed too much either. I like this cadence & interpretation.

  • I love this version, Marc. Is this the Carl Van Feggelen transcription? I've been looking everywhere for this sheet music and haven't been able to find it anywhere. Any hints?

  • Thanks, Proudmonkey -and also scree, and everyone.

Yes, it is the Carl Van Feggelen arrangement.

  • That Feggelen version is the WORST available.Beyond the obvious plagiarism (says it's a Weiss piece, the rhythms are incorrect 6/8 rather than Ponce's real meter of 3/4).Feggelen obviously transcribed the Segovia transcription by ear and tried to make his own to appear as if he transcribed from source material rather than the Segovia recording.I play with fewer slurs than the Wade version, but it's essentially the notes of the Parkening vrsn, --directly from Segovia, for whom it was written.

  • Congrats on another fine performance.

  • Segovia was going to debut this piece as a piece by Bach as a sort of musical joke. But, some notable musical scholars of his time were going to be attending the concert so he, along with Ponce, changed it to Weiss. Funny story.

  • I like this Prelude so much !!

    very very well played !!

    cheers Wolfgang

  • again very good played; I enjoyed it very much; 5 stars from me; meanwile I visited your website and I`m very impressed. You are telling a lot of interesting episodes from your life. I wish you all the best. Ibuki from germany

  • Great performance. I really like it, by the way i think that Ponce said that this was a piece by S.L.Weiss because it´s Barroque and people would tought that was old fashion.
