everyone is eating meat. and that's where the problem lies. food makes us survive.. it's the only product we really need, and if there's problems then they all come from the way people are now eating
. so, there's no point much in saving a few plastic bags when you go shopping, think of saving some animals by avoiding to nibble into the corpse species, and that way - the companies who are over-ruling in these field and places - if there sales don't make out, they will give up on the land... and everything will be back to normal.. think about it....
like a recession.. if there's debt, you know you have to stop spending... so if the way you're eating is causing homelessness, poor countries, then cut out the crap
Good film, but I feel that the message it shows- that the government should be wholly responsible- is unfair because it's really down to ordinary people as well to reduce the demand for meat and dairy products, try having one or two veggie meals a week, little things help just as much as big campaigns
this whole climate change thing is really not for the environment, well the people involved in it are, But the politicians, the businesses, and the environmental groups see this as a means to get an end, politicians; support, businesses; revenue, environmental groups; money.
Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING involves power and power involves control. No cheap energy, No cheap gas, No control over yourself.
Excellent films for the public to view. it is impressing to see that so much truth and attention is being placed on the importance of becoming Vegan, for the environment, for the animals, for individual health.
This message is so overdue...it's too late!! The apologist tone ("let's not freak people out by suggesting they could actually really give up ALL animal products") is utterly counterproductive. Until environmental organizations start telling the TRUTH...that dependence upon animal agribusiness is IMPOSSIBLE if we give up factory farming...and start moving them in the direction of stockfree growing methods and healthy plantbased eating, we're simply not changing fast enough. Come on!!
Good video, good message, but absolutely HORRID music! Made me dizzy just listening to it! Totally distracts from the message. Did you use such awful noise to prevent someone from trying to make a copyright claim and nix the video?
It's been said many times before but for thos ethat haven't heard it - If humans consume the soya themselves instead of feeding it to animals to produce meat/dairy, we can feed 10 times the amount of people
Or put another way...we can feed the same amount of people with only one-tenth of the land we are now using. This would make a vast difference and would solve the problem in question.
Members like the limbs of a body, do not control our society. Parliament is a place for stories & rhetoric that bares little relation to the reality we experience.
Rather than subswcribe to political lobbying, just get busy growing wholesome food, show others the way, LEARN ABOUT PERMACULTURE & alternative economies.
The source of the worlds ills, the wars, terrorism & genocides of disease, famine and desertification is money & those who control it, enslaving the entire planet through USURY.
I just don't know which is worse: the concentration of waste and runoff from large farms and ranches, or the dispersion of agrarian industry and husbandry into the communities?! We worry about pollution from irrigation run off, yet exposure to chemicals and animals odors in populated areas is no better a solution for the non-participating neighbor. What to do?
Create as much garden & forest as you can in every available area. Incorporate perennial foods, make it diverse & fun. Share produce with your neighbours for they are closer than your family. Educate and share opinion as to how we can come together to help one another.
There is nothing in this imposed reality of money, work and enslavement that we should continue to subscribe to, when faced with such obviously dark agendas.
Nature can help clean our air & water, I know its what I do
I hope our government has also a plan regarding this concern instead of wasting their great minds on some rotten strategies of exercising corruption in our country.
If we watch the recent and past rhetoric from the "establishment" we note an increasing re-emergence of support for GM. Look ahead people, we were warned about this years ago!
Codex alimentarius is due for implementation in Dec 09.
This is another devilish spawn of the UN (Rockerfeller/Rothschild) WTO. Lets give a message to the same cabal who have just given us Swine Flu, with experimental poisons.
It seems like the only way it can work, if we all get involved personally in providing meats and vegetables ourselves. Getting involved in farm co-ops and the like.
Let's also remember: human-caused climate changed has never been substantiated. It's arrogance to think we can effect global climate conditions in a world with billions of factors. The earth will do what it wants - filter all the crap we give it. CO2? WE are CO2 producing - wipe us out too?
Lets not forget about those cultures that managed to look after the planet sustainably for 100,000+ years prior to westerners' industrial/colonial revolution! If we're hoping to reform our relationship with the planet, including farming, we would do well to seek indigenous wisdom to show us the way.
i like it... it's amazing when you ask people to be accountable they get so hostile and angry. We do need to examine where our food comes from, cheap and more is not always better. Thanks for the reminder!
Typical liberals, all whining and no answers. "Intensive" farming REDUCES the amount of land needed. The alternative to meat is more farms! Utter nonsense. Provide a viable alternative and I'll listen.
I buy whole chickens from Cosco. How's that for environmentalism? You know, the only meat that is a problem is the meat between about 60-85% of the world population's ears. Nothing like having 8 fucking children who are all equally as stupid as their predecessors. For example: Octuplet mom. Lack of foresight deserves starvation.
Also please site references before making bold claims like "livestock produces more emissions than the several billion vehicles roaming around the planet". This is a fucking propaganda film. Have fun with your Vitamin B12 deficiencies. I'm going to eat meat so that I can have muscle to survive and DNA to keep my neural connections intact [along other things like my reproductive organs].
You guys pour way to much effort into stupid shit. Focus on the dumb asses, not this petty shit. If you had been doing your job, Bush wouldn't been anywhere near the white house.
it has been estimated that by 2035, approximately 10%+ of the south american rainforest would be gone and replaced by agribusiness and other industry. what does that mean for us? less biodiversity = less choices we have of eating in the future, all the kinds of meat/poultry/seafood we take for granted every single day!!
I wish we were more like the natives of the America most of them respected the animals and the land, until the stupid europeans with their selfish attitudes and beliefs had to invade and destroy them.
You know the earth would be better off without humans. Personally, I hope we all die soon like the predictions for 2012 say so, if not it were going to destroy each other anyway one way or the other. Humans are cruel by nature, we say we care, but we don't to anything about it, for every good we think we do theres always a two side to the coin. In order to create we must destroy something in order to achieve it, think about it. We exploit for our selfish needs, there just too many of us.

Say what you want about factory farming, but they are an efficient way of producing food. Using less efficient methods would require more land and resources to produce the same amount of meat (not good for the environment).
Since factory farming is efficient its cost to the consumer is usually much less. Replacing them with more costly methods would cause prices to rise. Not good for the world's poor & hungry.
Capitalism can fix the system: support what you think is right monetarily, and supply will match. "Fighting" a multitude of industries by telling them they can't do "X" because you think it's not "Y" is not only fascism, it will be ignored and rightfully so.I'm getting sick of the forced communism from the "save the planet" hippies. It's not like any of these third-world countries were first-world before we started improving agriculture...
although I have to admit that it's also an interesting aspect that the soy that is fed to animals could feed starving people (if you raise animals you only get out about 1/10 of the amount of soy you fed them - so without animal "production" we would have about 10 times more proteins....)
Soy isn't even a good food really. Our bodies are not well adapted to eating it because we've only been eating it for a few thousand years. Much of todays soy is GM too.
And it has high levels of aluminium in it.
Hemp oil is a MUCH better source of proteins & complex chain fats. It is richer in Omega oils than just about any other food. Once the oil has been extracted there is also the tincture THC which is useful in medicines & there is also the fibre which is good for clothing &/or paper etc.
Just stop GREED.

Funding is in apparent need in order to maintain a high regulation in the market to maintain a stable, disease free, and fully trackable food supply.
