Thanks, I shot it with my Sony SR-12 HD cam in High Quality mode (1920x1080) In Final Cut Express I exported it as a High Quality .mov file with the same settings. The file was well over 250 MB and took about 12 hours to upload.

Sure, it works great. For far away objects you need a good zoom lens though.

As in the night sky? Not really, you need a high powered light collecting lens and this does not.

Sony SR-12 HDD - It is a HD camera with a
120GB hard drive. NO TAPE! :)
