no. The Elder wand was just like a normal wand for voldemort. It was because Harry did expelliarmus and pushed Voldemorts spell back on him so Voldee got killed by his own spell

I agree! i have all books and the wands can do exact opposits like when Lockhearts wand back fired. Same happened to Harry when he responded to the curse. Harmione knew this too!

@kpeacemaker81 it wasn't lockhart's wand that backfired, he used ron's which was broken! and the wand didn't kill harry and killed voldemort instead because the wand refuses to kill it's master (as draco won it from dumbledore, and harry 'gained it's allegiance' when he won it from draco.) :D
