  • Are those kaleidophone's able to be purchased any where?

  • This guy is a pioneer.. We've all been touched by his genius through layers of the engineers and artists inspired by him through the years.

  • The kaleidophon might have sold much better if it didn't look so awkwardly phallic, if it was held like an electric bass you could play it and still retain some dignity!

  • interessante

  • Sounds like the sequence is coming out of a Korg Wavestation.

Those shifst he performs on his computer sound very jazzy.

  • This is amazing. And how much he's changed physically, But not Musically! How I'd love a day in that laboratory!

  • @MrConfused At your local Kaleidophon store.

  • oh i want one of those.

  • 'thedickinside' seems an appropriate username

  • Looks like aimless posting HASN'T, though. Fool.

  • "Crap like this" is what gave rise to the crap being dispensed from car windows - the pioneers are the experts and the best- there are very few today who actually understand sound and the equipment that makes it.

If it was not for Vorhaus,Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk- modern electro would not exist.

  • @thedickinside

lol, im only 26 and reading what you wrote, and considering it was written by a 42 year old, sounds pretty damn pathetic and immature. you need to grow-up and focus on self development.

  • @MustNotRead Self development? Having travelled the world many times over and met many of the 'geniuses' that people immortalise, I have to tell you that if you'd met this guy, you too would form an opinion mirroring my own. Believe me. They are all so far up themselves it would take a astronomical effort to drag some of these people back to reality. I'll tell you what though, Daevid Allen's a nice chap. :-)

  • @thedickinside its probally difficult to not be so far up yourself when you know full well you are a pioneer of electronic music.

  • I remember a TV documentary c.1977 with Vorhaus showing how he constructed the Kaleidophon. Magnetic tape for strings...

  • Vorhaus is a genius.

    Properly !

    Listen to AN ELECTRIC STORM

  • Fantastic instrument there.

  • cool!!
