When the first episode of Vampire Diaries aired, I'll admit I didn't like Ian's character. I thought Ian was cute, and that the show was good. I went on with my life.

As the show progressed I began to like Damon, I fell more in love with Ian. His acting stunned me every week.

Then I looked him up. I watched a few interviews, fell more in love with him.

I found an interview where he was talking about the environment.

The passion and care in his voice... that was when I really fell for him.

heres the deal with Ian: when you see him on TV or in videos and whatever, you think to yourself "OMG i would NEVER be able to talk to him without babbling all over the place!" and that's exactly what i though before i met him. when i was lining up for my photo with himm, i had butterflies in my stomach and was kinda going insane! but when he pulled me into a hug and said "Hey darlin!" i just relaxed! he makes you feel so good about yourself and he's so easy to talk to! he's a SWEETHEART! ♥ xoxo

Very interesting interview. Great job from the interviewer who looks quiet by nature, but kept excellent composure throughout. Can't be easy with that pair of blue-blue eyes on her.

But Ian seems to have an innate ability to make people feel at ease. I think he knows his fame, good looks and general presence can be intimidating, and he goes the extra mile to make people feel he is accessible. Great answers. I really admire his efforts for the environment (and wish him a prompt recovery).
