  • This shit is pure comedy I love this skit I saw this for the first time at 11 years old I couldn't stop laughing when I saw it

  • classic

  • TEDDY WOULD APPROVE.........

  • "Don't Let Me Down" is my favorite SNL skit featuring Eddie Murphy!

  • Brilliant.

  • LMFAOOOO! I LOVE EDDIE MURPHY!

  • Black slave descendants are the true Hebrew Israelites. The Lord is punishing their captors. The oppressors are falling!!!!

  • @111uminat1 I'm sure that's what Eddie meant with this sketch

  • So classic!!!!!!!

  • Brill vid, I have. This on DVD, incase anyone was wondering it's from his Saturday night live stint. Great comedy writer and performer

  • wow when i was litlle my mom showed me this tape all the time, i had no idea what he was talking about until she explained it to me years later. this vid made me laugh so hard!

  • Eddie is off the chain!!!rotflmfao!!thanks Vin Man!

  • The ORIGINAL video is great; this is shite. Don't bother.

  • Thanks Vince,

I have been looking for this!

  • Nice pipes, Eddie.

  • Nice pipes, Eddie.

  • naw naw........naw naw naw naw !

  • He is imitating Jesse but singing like Harold Melvin and The BN featuring TP

  • Jesse Jackson? He looks more like Lamont from Sanford & Son! Still funny though!

  • lets bring it on down well well

  • "Well, well, well, well, well."....."From catfish to gefilte fish." My favorite SNL skit... Sang it Eddie !!! LMFAO

  • This skit is funny.I am so surprised that the censors of the network allowed some of the lyrics in this parody such as 'We both have big noses". The Jews who own and make policy in show business do not often allow jokes about themselves and the big nose jokes use to be the most taboo for them. This was the start of a period of great change, and the laughter wipes away so much pain. This parodies music is based on Teddy Pendergrass song "It Don't Hurt Now". Malik Jubal

  • @LordIam1 Yes its the same melody..good catch.

  • 3 hymeys didn't like this!! HAHAHA!

  • The backup singers are killing me

  • HIs god is kikes. The chosen people? Definately

not them dirty hook nosed parasites.

  • Thanx for this! Makes rotfl everytime!!

  • SO CLASSIC.. love it

  • John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt -- I would really enjoy hearing Eddie Murphy sing that song here on my favorite channel -- YouTube. And Toto Tube? And Toto Tube.

  • Charlie Sheen's gonna be singing this one soon

  • @googgull I love Charlie Sheen.

  • Classic! Eddie sound like a mix of Bobby Walmack & Teddy Pendergrass! I feeling a little himmie myself!

  • @Sharla12474 he is doing TP...

  • This is classic Eddie Murphy. Damn shit is funny as hell.

  • President Obama is going to sing this song at CongressJewess Gabrielle "Hymie" Giffords' funeral when she dies after finally being taken off the blood-libel kosher slaughter machine. That way, Obama can garner votes from the Eddie Murphy lobby and also from the Israeli electorate who do not much like the Americanized "Hymie" Jews and Jewesses. Plus a number one Billboard Hit for Obama, even though he SAYS he doesn't like waterboarding.

  • Yeah Vince..I Truly appreciate you adding this video..CLASSIC

  • ALL YOU HIMEYS AND HIMETS

  • himeys are just bad people whatever way you look at it

  • 卐卐卐卐卐 fuck all the himeys 卐卐卐卐卐

  • @SvenSvenSvensen Hymietown is better than Auschwitz. And it's so much easier to spell. Nazis live in Naziberg and they don't get mad when Hymies say that.

  • @SvenSvenSvensen And now the Hymies have pressured the Washington politicians to pass a law that says all the Hymie words have to be taken out of Huckleberry Finn. And the law says that the word Hymie has to be replaced with Jesse Jackson.

  • i love those little black suits you wear

  • Is that John Witherspoon singing with the rest of the backups?

  • THE WHOLE WORLDS LAUGHING AT ME---R.I.P. TEDDY

  • @timpriddy73 yes.....and it dont hurt no more...my fav eddie clip

  • LOVE THOSE BACKGROUND SINGERS AND THEIR VOCALS!!! :)

  • im a libra

  • Eddie tryin' to tap into "Teddy Pendergrass." LOL!!!!

  • "Jackson used the term "Hymies", a pejorative term for Jews, in reference to New York City by referring to it as "Hymietown" while talking with the Washington Post reporter Milton Coleman in January 1984. Jackson denied making the remarks and then said Jews were conspiring against him"

Great. First you call Jews "hymies" and then you deny having said it while referring to a jewish conspiracy

  • this skit was never played during any of the snl anniversary shows. vintage eddie here. top 5 all time eddie skit too lol

  • funny shit man

  • Cole.... this one is ESPECIALLY for you Gurl!!!

  • "I wanna see leather hats and yarmulkes together". LOL!

  • I love this...... I crack up every time I listen to it. Eddie Murphy is funny as all get out!!

  • It sure would be nice if SNL could have a rebirth, and get back ti being funny.

  • Sometimes I feel a little hymie myself! XD

  • Classic. Rest in peace Teddy Pendergrass!

  • I wanna look over this crowd and see both leather hats and yarmulkes side by side!

  • All you Hymies and Hymiettes!

    Lets get it together!!

  • 1:12 - "Sing Eddie!" He should have won the Oscar for "Dreamgirls"!

  • classic eddie!

  • "Don't let me down" This song actually has a nice soul groove!! lol

  • that Eddie Murphy was something else back then! Richard Pryor & Eddie Murphy are some very talented people. They put good humor in things. They are some very seriously creative funny people.

  • Classic ! I remember this....LOL Too Funny!

  • The funniest part is when he says "I'm Jesse Jackson and I'm running for President of the United States." LOL! That's one horrible decision America thankfully avoided. Eddie Murphy is and always will be a classic performer!

  • I still believe that the reporter simply fabricated the whole thing. Since even if Jackson had said such a thing, how would the reporter know that? You can't understand anything he says

Well, actually thats not entirely true. Sometimes you can understand him. Like when he's mumbling along & then all of a sudden you hear "50 Million"!

Then he goes back to mumbling "thats how much you need to pay for building Toyotas without purple paint & gold trim"

  • Eddie Murphy almost got it just right. He had the word "down" in the song. But actually Jesse Jackson's song goes like this...

"shake em down, shake em down,

    shake em down now

shake em down, shake em down,

    shake em down now.

shake em down, shake em down... "shake it"

  • You know how Japanese still like doing things that Americans used to do, but are corny now. Like song dedications!

The President of Toyota dedicates that one to Jesse Jackson every day on "Tokyo's Totally Old Oldies 86 FM"... where we play the oldest, funkiest oldies"

  • that type of talk isn't Kosher..lol

    Eddie was the best

  • LOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!

  • the backup singers are killin me...SNL's best era..

poor jesse ! ...you had no chance at the presidency anyway, so keep up the idiotic statements, so others like eddie can rip you a new one..hahaha

  • comedic genius

  • fucking classic comedy skit

  • thank you for posting this, I been looking for this for a while now. this skit & the James Brown Celebrity Hot Tub skit were funny as hell.

  • i just love the song. im sure eddie at the time could have done a spinal tap esk, film with classics like this. he's the only 1 who could pull it off.

  • Omg whats so funny is my bf is a jew he has all that shit lmfao

  • between this one & James Brown's celebrity hot tub skit..absolute RIOTS....

  • Ed is a nut LMAO

  • Thank you SO much for posting this!! I remember seeing this live and damn near pissing myself...eddie was always my fave snl personality and this skit is a prime example of why. genius, funny as hell.

  • I love this video...Ive been looking for it for forever!!! Thank you so much...don't et me down, well well well!!! LOL!!!

  • hahahah jesse jackson in a r and b group.... freakin great

  • I love this video, it's so effin' funny!!

  • my mom is going to hymie town tomorrow.

  • ..."and the little tiny curls that hang down in your hair.."

    hahaha!!

  • yea, hilarious

  • I remember when that happened, and if I recall correctly Murphy did this parody on SNL. I still can't figure out what Rev. Jackson was thinking when he said it.

Then the remark about Obama that he made when he thought the mike was dead...I guess he didn't learn from the first time.

But thanks for this vid, I'd been searching for it for a long time..!!=D

  • lol, yea Jesse tends to get caught with his foot in his mouth quite often. No prob, you're welcome.

  • @eliza50ful Get a video called "Eddie Murphy the best of SNL". It on there. This is sooooo funny. I actually saw SNL when he did this.

  • @eliza50ful what did he say when he thought the mike was off?

  • @eliza50ful The A**hole Reverend Jackson Is An Idiot!!! That's Why What He Said Didn't Even Make Sense!

  • @GaelaMorgana You are so right. There has been a lot of Hymie Flight from Hymietown. There was a whole movie made about Hymie Flight called "Exodus".

  • @eliza50ful Everyone knows Hymies live in Hymietown. Jesse Jackson was just stating the obvious.

  • So funny! My daughter is 6 months old and starting to develop little curls hanging down at the sides of her hair. Wanted to show this sketch to my girlfriend but couldn't find my video of SNL. Thanks for posting bro! Hymie town, well well...

  • @eliza50ful I don't know how modern television survives with videos like this on youtube.

  • Eddie! What have you done for me lately Eddie?! I miss you man!

  • The background singers put it over the top.

    Eddie how we miss you.

  • Eddie Murphy saved SNL during the 1980s. SNL was on its way out, since Chevy Chase and Bill Murray and other core folks left to pursue careers on the big screen.

  • Agreed..SNL would have went under if it was not for Eddie in the 1980's.

  • this skit was great along with the" kill the white people" skit.....lol

  • lmfao!!!!!!!! this is damn funny

  • "I love those blacks suits ya wear/ And them lil' tiny curls that hang down in ya hair" LMAO! I know this had to be hard for Eddie to do bc it looks like he's on the brink of hysterical laughter LOL! This is the best of Eddie right here.

  • The back up singers are awesome. Is there an actual song, and that they just made the lyrics different? Because the melody relaxes me

  • It was made up. The backing vocalists are basically a Composite of the 70's Soul Groups. The Manhattans, The Stylistics, The O'Jays, Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, The Chilites, The Delfonics, amongst others.

  • This is one of the funniest skits ever. Simply brilliant.

  • this is what ive been missin

  • So damn funny!

  • now i'm sad and lonely...................EDDIE kills me with this skit....

DON'T LET ME DOWN HYMEY TOWN...

    WE BOTH GOT BIG NOSES....LOL

    HYMEY TOWN.LMAO!

  • haha, I know right...I still laugh!

  • @VinceTheTexan

We both got big noses and gold chains on our chest...LOL

  • @nonimarie74

yeah my boyfrien had my daughter n god daughter n they remade it they were Tony and the Tonetts, man that was funny wish I would have recorded it!

  • @nonimarie74 he is imitating teddy pendergrass

  • This has to be eddie's finest work on SNL!!! Dig it!

BTW: He's not making fun of any singer , he's just imitating the quintessential soul singer .

  • @killalabels He must have spent HOURS in front of the mirror to mimic the soul singer. This skit is Murphy at his best!!!!!

  • @killalabels you remember the hot tub scene....James brown

  • @killalabels you remember the hot tub scene....James brown

  • @killalabels he is imitating Teddy Pendergrass

  • @taylor4660 Na he's making fun of Jesse Jackson's faux pas about Jews during his presidential run

  • haha.. his backup singers , are killin me too

  • omg ! classic ....soooooo funny

  • yea i still crack up off this!

  • S.N.L. didn't give a fuck who they made fun of, i know this skit pissed jesse's ass off...oh well...you say stupid shit , he open this can of worms, Eddie let his ass have it

  • haha!!

  • What singer is he imitating, Teddy Pendergrass ???

  • good question...i wonder

  • Yes. Teddy was one of his favorite singers

  • Maybe: Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes?

  • Thanks Vince! This had me cracking up back in the day---and I have been looking for it for years! Love it!

  • no prob!

  • this shit is the best

  • too funny i wish eddie was still as funny

  • funny,..JJ was trying to run for Prez..he should of known not to say that..lol

  • yea those statements pretty much killed his campaign

  • Man I was lookin' for this skit. Thanks for posting it! Well well well!!

  • no prob!

  • We both got big noses and Gold chains on Our Necks!!!! yesss

  • on our chests

  • fucking CLASSIC!!!

    this is real comedy

  • lol hahaha i remember those good old days love it

  • hilarious

  • funny..how JJ said when he did not get elected it was because of race..but now since we have a black pres..it was never bout race..

  • At THAT time it was about race. Remember that was early to mid 1980s. We have a new generation who elected the President sio take that into consideration.

  • Thanks dude! I've been looking for this skit forever. It amazes me that the "N" word can be heard or read all over the internet and other media, but this one skit using the word himie was as hard to find as the Hope Diamond. Now when people claim that a certain group of people control all forms of media, there are those who want to call those people crazy or bigots. Watch how fast this clip is removed, however the "N" word will still be very accessible. Just food for thought. One love everyone.

  • ABSOLUTELY!! When you say that the so-called Jews control everything, you are called a "conspiracy theorist", lol.

  • I see you are REALLY awake. "So-Called" is the appropriate term. I'm glad to hear there is more out there than the sheep and zombies.

    Ma at Hotep.

  • i"m with you on that one iceice2. In the song, "all about the benjamins", they edit out "hebrews" from jadakiss line, "stack chips like hebrews." EVEN on the dirty version.

  • Now that's deep. I did not know that, but I'm not suprised. I'm sure there are more examples out there, however very few people are awake enough to pay attention.

  • No no...no no no no

  • thank you dude i have been dying to watch this...thanks for not letting me down lmao!!!

  • hymietown..lol!!! i've been looking for this everywhere.

  • ME TO

  • hymietown never fails to make me laugh

  • thats classic thx tor posting

  • no prob, chief

  • The funniest damn thing I have ever seen, Eddie is far and away the funniest SNL star ever!!

  • i agree...i still crack up

  • omg. thanks 4 posting this

  • no prob chief

  • Vince: thanx for putting this up...could you please put up the lyrics if possible?

For example, "We have so much in common/ We've both been so oppressed/ We both have big noses..." But, then what does he say? Thanks...

  • no prob...i'll put up the lyrics...thanks for watching

  • he says we both have big noses and gold chains on our chest...lol
