Crumbs would be the best cupcake ever only if they were smaller like the size of magnolia's cupcakes. I also glad that they didn't try the red velvet cupcake at magnolia cause it tastes gross and way too much food coloring.

Crumbs is belch. I agree I had a chocolate cupcake there, and it did taste like walmart quality! Nothing special to it! Don't get why ppl thunk they're the best. Maybe people who don't bake a lot don't know what's out there, but I think that the cupcakes I make from scratch taste better... And I'm no pro-baker!

sugar sweet sunshine is the best, best cupcakes, best atmosphere, best in every way. crumbs is way too oversized, magnolias is nice but a bit overrated

Awesome reviews girls!! We did the EXACT same thing when we were over in NYC earlier this year. Visited the same shops, and came up with the same results as you guys :-D

Although to be fair, we visited Sugar Sweet Sunshine the year before and the cakes weren't as good (a tad dry) maybe we caught a bad batch, or they'd been out on display too long? But a big thumbs up for SSS this year! Much improvement!!

nooo completely DISAGREE with your ratings!! sugar sweet sunshine bakery is the worst!! went there last night and the had the ooey gooey chocolate cupcake and they WERE NOT ooey gooey. it tasted out of a box..even i made a better cucpake at home. it was light, but it tasted like betty crocker for sure. nothing special about it at all. the banana pudding is not exceptional either. not worth the 4dollars for it. you can make better at home. it is with reg vanilla pudidng nilla wafers and bananas

my sister had the ooey gooey chocloate cake, and it was NOT MOIST. it was stale, hard and extremely dry. it was dry to the point that she was parched and HAD to take a drink by the 3rd bite. i tasted some for myself, and it was unbelievably dry. literally i can make better at home, and i dont even bake!! the cupcakes are 1.50, but you are better going to CRUMBS. they have THE BEST cupcakes in nyc, hands down. better texture, rich frosting. try THE CARROT CAKE CUPCAKE THERE. it is 3.75 each

Crumbs cupcakes are really sweet, and they have frosting on the inside..their not MOIST.
