What cannot be forgiven is the Communist Part members killed even the innocents. If they fought for the people, why they did they violate the people at large? They helped the British government then because they had their own agenda; to win over the people and showed they fought for the country. But that is understood because the Japanese were clear invader.

Chin Peng helped the Brits fought the japaneses during WW2. after the war, Lord Mountbatten awarded him a medal and sent the SAS to kill him. to those in living in Msia/spore, he is a war hero. not to be hunted like a war criminal.

what ever the CPM ideolody, they are all nationalistic hero of Malaysia who fought against foreign occupation, japanese then against the british. CPM is truly non racial, don't forget they have malay regiment too led by Rashid Maidin. Even after they have sign the peace accord with the Malaysian Govt back in 1989, and pledging loyalty to Malaysia, the Agong and the constitution, the Malaysia Govt have still not kept their side of the bargain by letting these hero home.

I was there. It was a difficult time. We fought for what we believed was right. We fought and killed dozens, hundreds of who we thought were the enemy.

And we won. That is why I am still here in Malaysia. Even though we won, I still wonder if those we killed were truly evil, or were they simply like us, following orders, fighting for what we thought was right.

ANyway, after watching this video, I feel sad for the ex-soldiers. They are victims too.I think they should be allowed to visit their relatives in Malaysia. They're harmless. But Chin Peng, well, I leave it to the government.
