I saw the Stones play this at Altamont. Not this good. Merry Clayton made the song great on the original record. Keith is positively the most overrated guitar player ever. He chugs power chords just fine, but he needs Woody or even better, Mick Taylor to play something amazing.
The band is the very definition of tight (the drummer is great), they actually play the song better live than The Stones. Yes Mick and Keith wrote the damn song and were brilliantly creative but they could also be sloppy live.

I think this is simply homage to the Stones by artists who stepped a little out of their comfort zones - which, I think, says a lot about them and the quality of their respect because doing such isn't easy. Of course they aren't the Rolling Stones. They are Keith Urban and Alicia Keys playing an immortalized tune. I say give 'em some shelter too.
They are just paying their respects to the Greatest Rock n Roll band in the world while its being broadcast all over the world! I give them big props for that!

I don't believe absolutely precise time and intonation are as vital in rock as in classical and jazz. Why not discuss this, exchanging ideas rather than insults? See this is good for being a cover and Keith did a great job on guitar!...but you can"t beat the orignal...If Keith sang Mick"s part and if Alicia sang only Merry Clayton"s part......the harmony would sound really cool!
