I'm sorry, but Ben Folds is his own band... He may be solo, now, but he is just as good as a full band, in my eyes. And he puts on a show as if there was a full band plus more to back him up. So in my opinion, hes a band and much more. Hes a musical genius!

About 9 years ago is when he started his solo tour, but as the years progressed he has put together many different variations of "bands" to accompany him on the road. Last year it was a full orchestra and this year it is 3 other very talented men. So he has a band, that he hand selected... And they play with him all tour long.
