I understand a lot of people are upset he mispronounced corpsman, but even I at times say it wrong and even say shoulder instead of soldier. People get tongue-tied or just mispronounce and end up kicking themselves afterwards. I think it's a bit ridiculous to expect every word to be perfect when we're all imperfect even in speech.

Well, I am an actual US Navy FMF Corpsman, I've fought side by side with the Marines in Afghanistan, been shot at, and watch my Marines get shot, I take pride in being a Corpsman. The problem with having a government give a hand is that they're going to take something from you and others to pay for it by taxation and debauching the currency. Remember, there's no free lunch and it will never always be the rich that foots the bill.
As for "useless stuff," I tend to agree that the government tends to spend too much to provide and perform more than it should in many areas, including the military-industrial complex and social entitlements.
The purpose of U.S. government is to reflect the will of the people but in a way that respects Constitutional Law, which is why the U.S. is a representative democracy that is under a Constitutional Republic; a majority vote must still abide by the law to protect the minority.

As a proud NAVY CORPSMAN I was upset about this especially being a member of the armed forces, but I support my President. He is not perfect as are none of you. Well, I am an actual US Navy FMF Corpsman, I've fought side by side with the Marines in Afghanistan, been shot at, and watch my Marines get shot, I take pride in being a Corpsman.
