  • Doesn't anyone think they're a total rip off of Sarah Records bands? Just listen to the Field Mice ... same sound, just 20 years earlier.

  • Wikipedia random article...thank you :D

  • one of VERY few groups who are as exhilarating, poignant, and tuneful as the mighty Smiths.

  • They have the Smith's feel to their music

  • I can never ever in a million years ever be able to get enough of this which is probably a bad thing because I might get deaf from over exposure to pure AWESOMENESS. Haha. Hmm...maybe it's not entirely a bad thing. Atleast, people will know I lost my hearing listening to the good stuff. =)

  • @xxPamperThePriestxx Who could blame you, it is sublime.

  • heard this on this girls ipod today..beautiful :)

  • Cure All the way..............

  • @melblackstock7 agreed. a cure for these times. saw them in LA awhile back. they were amazing live!

  • Ripped off the Smith's cover style. But i can live with it.

  • @Eltroim noob (=

  • @Eltroim LOL

  • i don't know what u're saying about "Cure-wannabe vibes", i just know that this song feels like a cure itself to me (*presses 'replay' button ------> *wants to be cured ) because it simply brings u "higher than the stars".

  • You can hear fucking anything in music. You could call these guys JAMC influenced, Belle and Sebastian copiers, the Cure wannabies or Yo La Tengo imitators, but in reality, they're just a bloody good band with influences EVERYWHERE. Someone's gotta carry on the indie pop tradition, and yeah it's fun talking about what stuff sounds like, but "wannabe" or "copy" are uneccessary words.

  • @TwistedArmco Very well said.

  • Influences are heard EVERYWHERE in music, it has always been this way. I love The Cure, and this song strums a certain nostalgia within but with it's definitely got it's own brand of magic going on and after all, isn't that what we seek when we listen to music?

  • awesome. still loving it!

  • calm down, the vocals don't sound like the cure but the instrumentals do

  • love this band, and yeah they give off a few cure vibes here and there, but in my opinion they still stand pretty well on their own.

  • wow

  • How many times my workplace played this song, customer keeps coming back.

  • cure wannabees?? GET REAL... no comparison... what a shite thing to say...this is pure magic on its own... dont taint it with your stupid reasoning....

  • It is beautiful sounding- the leader singer Kip, has such a dreamy and innocent sounding voice. It's the kind of song you can have playing forver in the background of your life. I feel like I hear a bit of "the cure" in the background- from "just like heaven" the sounds of the guitar....?? love them, tho! both! lol

  • this sounds oddly familiar... just like heaven??

  • @Rainydaytoober im affraid so.. well that sucked to hear, hate it when you ripp of epic melodies

  • @Rainydaytoober haha. that's so ironic you said this, because I posted the same observation about a week ago without seeing your comment. I still like it tho.

  • @Rainydaytoober Yep, blatant Cure wannabes.

  • first time I heard of them was this saturday, saw them live at a festival, really liked them.

  • actually i think that keyboard sounds alot like "just like heaven" by the cure (almost same notes, different rythm). alot of their songs sound suspiciously like other songs, but oh well i still think they're pretty cool.

  • I like this band, but they sound so much like The Smiths doing JAMC covers.

  • This song does not sound like JAMC!lol!

  • Its only bands like THE PAINS and EARTH CULTURE that really know how to kick ass!!!!

  • Great band. Good song.

  • This band will have some shelf life.

  • Lovely song! I love it!

  • Great band

  • Reminds me a lot of Aberdeen... and that is not a bad thing! I like it :)

  • Sounds like JAMC

  • @petal96 Sounds like "Just Like Heaven" by the Cure but without Robert Smiths guitar riff.

  • @Punorss does sound a lot like it, yeah. this band is great.

  • Bits of: Wild Swans, Field Mice, The Wake, Johnny Marr, Another Sunny Day all rolled into a perfect package....

  • An endearing, uplifting tune.

  • I wonder why it sounds sooo peaceful and sweet if the lyrics are so edgy? I guess that's their style though.

  • sounds like M83

  • This is really relaxing, I like it.

  • I wouldn't call this Indie pop or C86. I'd call it Dream Pop. Or Neo-Psychedelia.

  • Happy Happy Happy - TPOBPAH make me happy and thats no mean feat at the moment !

  • @ frankppl1

You're right, sounds like 1979 right? At least the intro.

  • COPIE DES SMASHING PUMKINKS!!!NO?

  • this is so awesome!!!!!!!!

  • Perfection. I've drained my ipod battery several times solely through the sounds of tpobpah.

  • @ClandestineSky Why didn't you just type "p.Idmibststtsotpobpah" and save even more time?

  • very 80s like, but great anyway! Well done, we need more emotions in music.

  • sounds like 80s indie pop / typical C86 stuff

  • excelente cancion la mejor del 2009 saludos desde guadalajara

  • perfect shoegazing music :)

  • ... a wonder :)

  • so field mice-y

  • this is exactly what i want playing while driving around the city at night.

    beautiful.

  • If you want driving around at night music may i suggest the album 'm83 - saturdays youth' Its perfect for that sort of thing! i think it is anyways.

  • thanks, its great - i'm going to have to make myself a playlist :)

  • m83 has great night music! whenever i take night photos, i always play m83 in my ipod!

  • Reminds me of summer nights:)

  • takes me back to late 80 early90,s reminds me of those good times

  • so beautful

  • This is fecking genius!

  • these are field mice! :)

  • Heard this on BBC six music. Reminds me very much of the Field mice. Nostalgia!

  • so awesome!

    nice tune!

  • I agree. Great tune but does sound like some old-school Cure. None-the-less, pretty good track.

  • why is it always "New York hipsters" who release this kind of stuff these days? never the Brits - even though we invented it!

  • Can you upload '103'? :)))

  • you know the score buddy, but this one is awesome too

  • soo good soo chill

  • Yeah, kindda sounds like Just Like Heaven

  • This could as well be a single from the trembling blue star...Rreally enjoyed it!

  • I adore the song and I love the new direction the band is taking. And the synths....liscious!

  • Great track. The synths are really good.

  • yeah, almost as good as they were on Just Like Heaven in 1897 :P

do love this band though, and I'm glad they're getting less noisy

  • 1897 was a great year in shoegazer.
