You can hear fucking anything in music. You could call these guys JAMC influenced, Belle and Sebastian copiers, the Cure wannabies or Yo La Tengo imitators, but in reality, they're just a bloody good band with influences EVERYWHERE. Someone's gotta carry on the indie pop tradition, and yeah it's fun talking about what stuff sounds like, but "wannabe" or "copy" are uneccessary words.

Influences are heard EVERYWHERE in music, it has always been this way. I love The Cure, and this song strums a certain nostalgia within but with it's definitely got it's own brand of magic going on and after all, isn't that what we seek when we listen to music?

It is beautiful sounding- the leader singer Kip, has such a dreamy and innocent sounding voice. It's the kind of song you can have playing forver in the background of your life. I feel like I hear a bit of "the cure" in the background- from "just like heaven" the sounds of the guitar....?? love them, tho! both! lol
