@shock394 A big key step of playing Tetris at this speed is to be able to take one glance at the stack and your current piece and know right away where to put it. Most people take advantage of the high contrast between the blocks and the background to do this. When this high contrast is suddenly removed, it becomes much harder to do this.
Does the machine log statistics about the number of games played ?
By the way, congrats for actually posessing your own "killer" cabinet!
Too bad for most people it is "only Tetris", without understand the addictiveness - and at least in Germany you will NEVER see a Tetris in a (modern) arcade hall anytime.
When you successfully complete Shirase with S14, I'd be very interested how many coins that would have been cost. For most ordinary mortals the coin used probably will be extremely high :P
Thanks for the encouragement. I actually got my first S11 yesterday... I'll upload that soon. Also, the best possible is S13 not S14.
If you look at the first frame of the video, the game always shows the number of plays for the account that just logged in. This video is my 4123rd since ~1 year ago when I reset my machine data. I know I had over 2000 plays before that but I forget exactly.
I only play on my arcade machine, so my entire experience with them so far is what you see in this video. I'm not too worried about it though... I've got plenty to work on 0-1000 for now.
what does the [ ] blocks do?

I wish I could find the OST for this game, the music kicks ass even though it's mostly drowned out by the sounds of the Tetriminos falling XD

Awright! As a question, how used to the "ancestor blocks" are you? I know those tend to affect players a bit, so...
