@mygirlrurh I have to agree. She was promoting her album. I don't know the interviewers, but what an ass. Such difficult and leading questions for anyone. I would say badgering from the 2 of 4 interviews I have seen thus far. She made a beautiful album and leave it at that. We are lucky she recorded it at all and that is her gift to us. I feel ashamed my curiousity of this amazing talent could cause her anxiety and with what she's been through, she doesn't owe any explaiations to me or anyone.

I think she agreed to do this interview to promote her album and he wanted to dispel the reputation that she's this Garbo-like recluse..but yeah she's stricken with anxiety it seems which was surely made worse by events that happened to her.

I think the interviewer was too harsh with her. His questions were leading. He should have focused on her strong points, not on her social awkwardness

Very charming et al, but she sounds a bit strange! Why did she need to be interrogated so much just to name a favourite film? She tells us there are no problems going shopping but she still throws in the negative bit about having to watch herself. As someone on here said, I think she's been traumatised. The coach accident, the stalker, the pressure of ABBA. I shouldn't judge her - I haven't lived her life!

about and she says, "Allt." Then she laughs and says, "Nej, inte allt."

I sympathize with her reluctance to do

interviews. What a pain in the neck it must

be to have someone asking you all these questions about how you feel and what you worry about while you have lights and cameras pointing at you. You say something and then have to try to make sure it doesn't get misinterpreted. No wonder it wears her out.

Very nice person, also judgemental to herself, sense lots of fears. The energy and blending of her voice with Frida's is angelic. Never the solo, hear me sing well, always contributing to the feel of the songs. "nothing or no one can harm you unless you choose to allow it" (TheWonders) came to my mind, easier said than done.

Agi is traumatized because of the fan hysteria she had to endure, followed by

the demands of the ever pushing Bjorn.

Then, the demise of the band due to the

lack of record sales from her supposed

'fans'. When she decided to go solo, well

that was just another slap in her face with poor record sales.

I relate to her very much - she says she's anxious and nervous a lot, and I don't think people realise what a terrible cross to bear that is. It's also made worse, because it's an afflication no-one can see. I love her - I think she comes across as a beautiful person, inside and out. I wish she could find more confidence in herself. She's given so much to the world, it's terrible that she should feel so insecure. She doesn't need to justify herself, she's great! Agnetha = beautiful :)

Hmmm, ah. She says "I try to keep it very quiet on me". I should maybe mention that she did an interview for German TV in which she DID NOT WANT TO BE FACE-FILMED. The camera guy was instructed to only film her from a distance. Yet the interview was wonderful. Could be this interview is here somewhere too, but no time to search around now.

I think the real reason for the self doubt and the reluctance for interviews is the stalker situation she had/has. I remember reading about it.

I was thinking the same thing. She has talked about being afraid of agressive fans coming to close, when ABBA were at their peak. Then, years after ABBA splitting up, she gets this stalker, which probably made her even less trusting of people. Such a shame. She comes across as a delightful woman to me.

Agnetha is so lovely & charming, she's just herself, very normal and down to earth with no phonyness. I don't think it has ever been easy for her to be in the public eye, especially as much as she was during the Abba years, she basically just loves to sing, but without all the stress of media attention. I can just imagine how stressful that would have been for anyone. I hope we get to enjoy more of her beautiful voice though.

She seems perfectly normal to me. She just happens to be very open and honest. It's easy to say she has all these anxieties, and the media love to run with stuff like that, but the thing is most people would not relate those things in an interview! Being so open about how she feels magnifies things because of her fame, but in reality everyone has anxiety and self-doubt when you get to know them. She just doesn't bother to create a fake public persona - which is very appealing actually! : )

Agnetha still looks amazing. How the world is missing out on her talents but I also feel that ABBA are in someways selfish - they were offered a billion dollars to reunite on for a world tour and they said no - they could have done it and given the money to charity and saved thousands of lives.

thats an exageration. in the 90s she went into complete isolation and refused to listen to any music at one point. that is someone affected badly by the music industry etc.
