Rainbow Dash as a filly created a massive shockwave that had the energy to crack a geode, make a loud boom, cause a massive gust of wind, and spawn a polychromatic light wave. The amount of force that needed to be exerted on her in that instant to create those effects, as well as the amount of energy she'd need to even cause those effects to happen in the first place, would have been IMMENSE by Newton's third law and conservation of energy! DARK MATTER PONIES?
love the idea and use of ponies although two minor criticisms 1 it's normally f=m.a secondly the third law can be said mathematically B.A=-B.A. (I like my maths equations)
@55soulless For acceleration, we were told to use the formula a=F/m, mostly because it is a little more descriptive (Its easier to tell what affects what). And Very true, it can be said mathematically, but i find it easier to explain without math, as there are alot of people who just don't do well with numbers.
@CookiesxArexForever it's cool, I guess it's up to the teacher how we're taught and mine always lamented there not being enough maths in high school physics (I guess that's what i get for going to a private school). Still epic video and it had all the info and makes me want to do one like it myself!
Make more of these, please. My sister is a freshman in high school and she's actually working with forces and motion right now. I do tutor her a bit when she needs help (especially with equations and/or anything algebraic haha) but when she showed me this she wanted to learn from ponies a bit more!
Great... I wrote my test on Newton's laws of motion today... and now ponies want to help me learn them? One day to late.. ): (Well I know them anyway.. but studying with ponies would be so much cooler)
@ronodar That sounds like quantum physics territory to me, especially when you have to consider photons acting like particles (which would probably be more likely to follow the laws of motion more closely) and/or waves.
i dont usually find this kind of thing interesting and skip pretty much eveyrthing...........how come i watched the whole thing AND payed attention too god i love ponies so much
That's a pretty awesome video. A couple of minor points though:
1 - The characters shown talking sometimes didn't match up with the voices.
2 - There were some clips from the show which could have demonstrated the physics better than the ones used. For example, the ice-skating clip from winter wrap up for Newton's 1st Law, and more emphasis on the catapult for laws 2 and 3. Actually, the rainuke clip would have been best for an explanation of conservation of energy.
@UberNube0 Gah... i know @_@ A few reasons for that. For the first one, it was mostly because my computer lagged while i edited, and for the second one, it was more a case of i only had so much downloaded, and we have a download limit on our internet. I might re make it if i have the chance though!
OMG I learned this in my physics class 2 days before this was uploaded... I got everything they said.

I could've used this in Physics last year. Ponies even make learning better!

If im honest,, i'm not a fan of that pinkie voice. It was kinda loud, i think is the issue. Still, well done. And physics is always a good thing (Y)

This made me try to imagine my physics teacher as a pony... Now I doubt I will ever take his classes seriously :/

Excellent job explaining the fundamentals of physics. If the laws of physics no longer apply in the future; God help you.
Seriously though, excellent video. Shame you ran out of time before you could perfect the lip synching.
You need to make more of these.

@ronodar I'd watch that.

10/10 for the idea
9/10 for the voice acting (it was a little odd at times, but still good, especially considering you did both voices!)
7/10 for the lip synching (lip synching was off a lot of the time)
9/10 for explaining physics (you could have explained the laws a little better, but it was still informative)
200/10 for the fact that this was a school physics project! That's just awesome.
This averages out to 235/50, or a 470%. Nice job!
