subhanallah i am just loving the recitation at da beginning of da video.. and hearing it over and over again.. can someone tell me who is this blessed reciter?
the thing is you are mixing culture with religions and islam DOES NOT PERMISS TP BEAT WOMEN INFACT WOMEN ARE MORE INPORTANT THAN MEN IN ISLAM!!! THEY ARE 3 TIMES IMPORTANT THAN MEN!!! SO PLS HAVE SOME SENSE AND STOP GETTING THESE FACTS FROM THE INTERNET AND GET IT FROM THE QUR'AN NOT FROM RACIST FORUMS AND BLOGS.
It is so sad that it is tragic. Only thru rel can u make women think they deserve less rights, deserve to b beaten, deserve to b raped if they r alone or not dressed properly. ONly thru rel can u control women by forcing them into marriages they don't want and then forcing them to stay by keeping their chldren fr them in a divorce. Only thru rel r women stoned for honour. Only thru rel r the rights and freedoms of women and gays being suppressed all over the world. Rel = division = war.
@Sophocles14 actually Islam goes against forced marriages that was actually one of the Prophet's pbuh first teachings, if a Christian sins do you blame the religion or the person? it is the same with Islam, just because a family makes a stupid mistake into forcing a marriage does not mean they did so for their religion, you have to stop being so close minded or you will just live the rest of your life without true understanding of the world and how it works
@iRuckiz U say women r not forced into marriage - thank u for the correction. But u failed to address that woman r legally beaten, legally stoned, have less rights than a man, etc, etc. ALL rel deny women their rights - christ is NO diff. If u give a woman the right to chose ANY sane person would want equal rights. No one wants to b treated like a slave or a child. U would not want to b treated less of a human for being male, yet u treat women less than human for simply being female.
@Sophocles14 actually the Qu'ran states that even tho men are physically stronger we were made this way to protect woman, and that we are equal, the Qu'ran is very clear on that, you have to stop confusing bad culture with our religion, i hear about christian woman being beaten all the time i don't blame the religion for it tho
@iRuckiz It clearly states in quran women can b hit/beaten/slapped - whatever - for disobedience. Also in quran, women have less rights than men, men can have 4 wives, etc etc. I have done the research lad and I know Islam, like ALL rel, treat women as inferior w less rights. Pls excuse me, but how can u even deny this? Even infidels, like myself, get less rights in quran and sharia law. Only muslim men r treated with right and respect. This is not a positive phil, but an oppressive one!
@SmileyMiss2k9 Thank u for ur reply. I m unsure of the conditions u r referring to, but if u would like to pls share them with me I would very much like to hear what u have to say. As a woman who is most likely muslim, ur opinion on the topics of equality and women in Islam is obviously very impo. I wish u well.
@jenchen81 Thank you very much for you email. I am unsure what reading u r referring to, but I welcome any correction to any of my interpretations of Islam. I try to do as much research as I can, but of course, being non-muslim and non-arab my "education" is limited. Before we discuss anything, pls understand I m an atheist, by ur def of a god, so I m not in favour of any rel. My point of view is not based on western ideo or christ values, rather, it is based on universal principles
@iRuckiz There is something else I would like to pls add. U keep making comparisons to christ - but I m NOT christ; I m an atheist. I do NOT believe in god. I believe in conscious energy as the divine force that we r all a part of. So, pls understand although I respect all people and their rel faith, I do not think any rel is positive. All rel r oppressive belief sysytems created so the very few elite may control the many. Freedom comes fr universal ideas and not fr dogmatic beliefs
I understand that there is a good reason for a mahram but not everyone has one or is able to study with one there. Do you think that it is ok to deny learning to a women just cuz there is no mahram available to her? This I do not bleve is in the spirit of islam.
@akaJoo mahram is for protection it is not like a license to learn, over 80% of rapes occur because the woman is ALONE, say your mother goes overseas to "learn" and she only has another female for mahram, and a big man comes up to them and easily beats them both up and rapes them would it be ok for it than?
I had taken ashShahadah before 9/11 but it wasn't until after that when the deluge of questions came that I realized "I am stupid with Islam...!" It made me re-read Qur'an and learn a LOT more about Islam and return to my lost deen. Islam was hard for me as a revert male especially. I was alone a lot, RamaDaan was lonely... I fell to fitnah, astagfirullah... but Allah forgive and is oft-returning. Make ONE step to Him He makes the TWO to you... ALLAHU'AKBAR!
May you find a mate for yourself whose fear of Allah makes many of your mornings and evenings a shower of blessings, manifold, that you might reunite having lived-meeting and departing-fi sabeelullah and bask in JannatulFirdaus together. ameen
Whoa some of the questions really spooke me out especially the one about dating... can't believe some muslims don't know thatits not permissible... lol.. Subhannallah
I have met TOO many "Muslims" whose practical knowledge was/is quite minimal to the point of useless—alaahu'aalaam... unfortunately, of the few off of the top of my head that come to mind it is heavily the parental fault. TOO MANY TAKE ISLAM FOR GRANTED, like the kids raised by well-to-do parents whom expect their children will somehow have a genetic predisposition to appreciate something of value given/inherited to them... oh to be such a parent on alYoumilQyyamah! astagfirullah
Well atleast they are asking and learning inshallah. This is definetly a really sad reality. OUr Ummah needs to wake up!!!! right Fried Chikkin? lol love that name btw... ;) he he he
If I cannot change others Allah allows us each, through Islam and thoughtfulness therein, to change ourselves... prepare ourselves for alYoumilQyyamah.
@yazyh Salam, I know, I sometimes think like that as well but then I try to remind myself that at least they are asking questions, meaning they do want to find out what islam says about certain subjects. May Allah increase our knowledge and lead us in the right path. Amin.
