and the guitarrist apparently seems to be so leaf that got a wrong note while the slide went over the strings at 3:03 and it looks like he said - ' hey man it was not me so it doesn't matter , nothin' happened here!'

Yeah, pretty true. You can see it a lot in the newer songs, and it's all over the place in the live from buffalo cd. But he does still sound amazing, and hits them occassionally. I think it depends.

The live performance on the Late Show, the 2002 Olympics,Live in Buffalo, and a few others he uses the high notes. It's the vocal nodules which have impaired his vocals lately. And he does suffer from it, he was diagnosed with it.

In the chorus Johnny can't hit the high notes anymore. He has vocal nodules. Vocal Nodules is a lump which develops on the vocal chords, it causes pressure on them, not allowing the singer to reach high or very low notes. Nic Cester from Jet was diagnosed in 2004.

Yeah, pretty true. You can see it a lot in the newer songs, and it's all over the place in the live from buffalo cd. But he does still sound amazing, and hits them occassionally. I think it depends.
But he yodels, yeah? So atleast there is that.

Jeez, some of you guys don't know what you're talking about, can't you hear he isn't suffering from strain, that's how he sounds live, in fact i'll be damned if you can find another live version of iris where he does use the high notes, this is probably the only non-studio version where he does that (Most of the other live versions of this song during the chorus are inaudible due to the crowd singing with him, thank god they didn't in this version)

The live performance on the Late Show, the 2002 Olympics,Live in Buffalo, and a few others he uses the high notes. It's the vocal nodules which have impaired his vocals lately. And he does suffer from it, he was diagnosed with it.

Goo Goo Dolls rock, don't get me wrong. I love them, grew up on them, and celebrated my sweet 16 on the same day as their concert in my hometown. But you can not POSSIBLY mosh at one of their concerts.

In the chorus Johnny can't hit the high notes anymore. He has vocal nodules. Vocal Nodules is a lump which develops on the vocal chords, it causes pressure on them, not allowing the singer to reach high or very low notes. Nic Cester from Jet was diagnosed in 2004.
