That is the play that made me hate the Ottawa Senators. I used to cheer for them in the playoffs after the Leafs got eliminated each year, but after that, not a chance. Even to the point of cheering for a team from California in the Stanley Cup finals.

Cannot stand the leafs, and they whine about EVERYTHING, but in this case that is the EXACT definition of a hit from behind, terrible non-call, but can't anything less from the most inconsistant officials in all of sport

@voderick He should keep his head up? How would you recommend keeping one's head up when going into the boards to get the puck. Skate backwards? Turn his head 180 degrees? What is the problem? It's pretty clear, the problem is that Alfredsson hit Tucker from behind, a dirty hit, wasn't penalized, and then scored the game winning goal.

@voderick A respectful player doesn't hit someone from behind into the boards. True, you want to avoid going face first into the boards, but on a play like that there was no other way for Tucker to get the puck. The NHL does not teach to hit from behind, that's just an ignorant statement. Almost as ignorant as you assuming I'm American. I agree, the NHL is tough, and it's not for the faint of heart. But being tough doesn't mean being able to push someone into the boards from behind.

I play midget house. If shit like this happens in my league every single player hops the bench and beats the shit out of the little fuck who throws a hit like that.
