I very much doubt that modern day JWs know just how many times the end of the world had been foretold by the Watchtower Society. Oh I remember..it wasnt the WTS at all was it? It was the rank and file JWs who came up with the date of 1975...wasn't it? Or thats how our dear friends at the Watchtower explained that fiasco away. And what about Beth Sarim? Did the ancient patriarchs ever arrive? Oh no.the WTS quietly sold Beth Sarim and allowed that belief to drift into oblivion. Shhh everyone!
But their behaviour in Bethel is of the highest standards...isn't it? I seem to recall a time around 1980-ish, when they discovered that Bethel was riddled with homosexuals! The JWs live an awful and restrictive lifestyle. Many top psychiatrists believe it's the reason why so many JWs suffer from mental health problems. They also have a very high suicide rate. All religions are a "Cult" by definition. JW's are no different than Catholics,protestants, Jews, etc... all have denomanation rules and socially accepted and approved behavior and affiliations. People love to target JW's. There was noone my own age and I couldnt make friends outside the religion. Children need social interaction growing up.

I was raised a Catholic then my parents changed to JW. All the things mentioned are true. I wish my parent's had never changed. As I grew up I was shamed to b in school when every1 stood 2 salute the flag except for me and dey would ridicule me. I believe dis affected my selfesteem over the years as I have very few frends today (many of them are kids I've known b4 my family turned to JW n sum are from church). I wish I had been raised like a normal family as I think my life would've been happier

I'm a JW and a lot of those are true...although we're told that they aren't 'rules' as such but it would be 'wrong' if we did a lot of those things for X,Y,Z. I also hated not celebrating Christmas and birthdays. In elementary school I still sneaked some birthday cake though!!! -but i felt so guilty for it :( I don't know you're sort of right but sort of not... Cos we're told that what we do is 'our decision' and that each individual will make his own answer to God etc. always the guilt though

I remember one time at the public basketball courts some of my friends and i were playing with "worldly people" well, one of the elders showed up and yelled at us from the street that "we werent to play with those kind of people!" @eternityandforever Proms are NOT pagan dating rituals, in many cases these days they are supervised by teachers from the high school and parents that attend also. they even were in MY day decades ago. in my cong recently the witness parents had a dance for the witness kids, it is a chance to wear fancy clothes and have good manners that does not involve marriage. that is all it is but it is an important social step for the graduating teen.

Heres the thing. When I was being raised in the cult. I was taught that having a smurf toy or watch the smurfs can attract some of satans demons to your house. Causing you or those who live in the house to have nightmares, and/or hear/see aparitions in the house, and/or even have bad things to happen to you or your family in life (of course, the brainwashed JW will deny any of this). They say the same thing about having gnomes,fearies,and dragons (statue and/or on tv).

So these people created the statues and now when u have one in your house, u r actually having a demon statue in your house (thus attracting 1 or more demons to u). I used to believe in this BULLSHIT. Same thing was said about trolls and aliens.

I very much doubt that modern day JWs know just how many times the end of the world had been foretold by the Watchtower Society. Oh I remember..it wasnt the WTS at all was it? It was the rank and file JWs who came up with the date of 1975...wasn't it? Or thats how our dear friends at the Watchtower explained that fiasco away. And what about Beth Sarim? Did the ancient patriarchs ever arrive? Oh no.the WTS quietly sold Beth Sarim and allowed that belief to drift into oblivion. Shhh everyone!

But their behaviour in Bethel is of the highest standards...isn't it? I seem to recall a time around 1980-ish, when they discovered that Bethel was riddled with homosexuals! They claim to have sorted that problem now. The JWs live an awful and restrictive lifestyle. Many top psychiatrists believe it's the reason why so many JWs suffer from mental health problems. They also have a very high suicide rate. All religions are a "Cult" by definition. JW's are no different than Catholics,protestants, Jews, etc... all have denomanation rules and socially accepted and approved behavior and affiliations. People love to target JW's. They are different so are ridiculed because they don't follow pagan or religious customs of pagan traditions, Paganism is not monotheism, so why would a monotheistic religion follow pagan customs and traditions if it has a "Christian/Catholic" title/twist to the same festival?

I was raised a Catholic then my parents changed to JW. All the things mentioned are true. I wish my parent's had never changed. As I grew up I was shamed to b in school when every1 stood 2 salute the flag except for me and dey would ridicule me. I believe dis affected my selfesteem over the years as I have very few frends today (many of them are kids I've known b4 my family turned to JW n sum are from church). I wish I had been raised like a normal family as I think my life would've been happier

I'm a JW and a lot of those are true...although we're told that they aren't 'rules' as such but it would be 'wrong' if we did a lot of those things for X,Y,Z. I also hated not celebrating Christmas and birthdays. In elementary school I still sneaked some birthday cake though!!! -but i felt so guilty for it :( I don't know you're sort of right but sort of not... Cos we're told that what we do is 'our decision' and that each individual will make his own answer to God etc. always the guilt though

I remember one time at the public basketball courts some of my friends and i were playing with "worldly people" well, one of the elders showed up and yelled at us from the street that "we werent to play with those kind of people!" On the otherhand i knew people from other halls that their parents let them do whatever, concerts, parties, sports.It all has to do with what type of hall you live in.

@eternityandforever Proms are NOT pagan dating rituals, in many cases these days they are supervised by teachers from the high school and parents that attend also. they even were in MY day decades ago. in my cong recently the witness parents had a dance for the witness kids, it is a chance to wear fancy clothes and have good manners that does not involve marriage. that is all it is but it is an important social step for the graduating teen.

This man who made this video is not accurate. Moses led God's people in ancient times. The disciples lead people to accurate knowledge back in Jesus' day=Matthew chap.10. The apostle Paul and older men led the early Christian congregation. The bible says in the time of the end, true knowledge would become abundant=Daniel 12:4. Acts 1:8-Jesus says he will be with us to preach worldwide-Matthew 24:14,28:19,20. We are preaching God's name=Jehovah, and God's kingdom soon to come!-Matthew 6:9,10 :D

Heres the thing. When I was being raised in the cult. I was taught that having a smurf toy or watch the smurfs can attract some of satans demons to your house. Causing you or those who live in the house to have nightmares, and/or hear/see aparitions in the house, and/or even have bad things to happen to you or your family in life (of course, the brainwashed JW will deny any of this).
