hi, i try playing the game, the menus are fine but its just a black screen with one line of diagonal pixels. menus work and everything, but im using windows 7

i could only play as marine u have to put the game in windows 98 config and u may need to download some diferent graphic drivers depending on ur graphics card

This game works with vista but you need to download few things for me it works

and one more thing do you know what avp gold xplosiv is just type it in on google and you will see an avp gold cover with xplosiv down the side

I stick to XP, it runs and does not freeze, but sometimes (most of the time) textures and world geometry look screwed up :-(

I had the same problem as well, i tried running avp gold on my windows xp system and it's all laggy, i can't play anymore can someone help me, i have NVIDEA GE FORCE N6600 2 gigs of ram and core 2 duo processor, can you tell me the solution for this problem to make it less laggy or to eventually resolve the problem?

there is a patch to stop the sound looping and i couldnt get the fix to work...i was told u have to put the graphic drivers back but not sure what too...look online to find out

I don't know if you can help me but is it normal for your game to skip when you're the alien. I mean does that happen to you?

I figured out the problem. It's a little stupid though. For some reason I had to rename the exectuible to avpg.exe.

Series 6,7 and 8 have this problem. But like I said in your first avp video.... go to planetavp forums. A guy has made a fix for it there. It's a new exe which takes out the directdraw glitches. I fixed my 6 and 8 series problems with his new exe fix.
