  • Omg...This song is so beautiful and this animation is completely gorgeous and their love is so pure HOW DARE DISNEY MAKE THAT PIECE OF GARBAGE THAT THEY CALL THE SEQUEL! It's nonexistent in my mind, I watched it twice, just twice and have never watched it again. It was horrible. Now...back to the song...So pretty, I wish it kept some of the old words though but I know with the translation it had to change.

  • French is sooo beautiful!!

  • Love this. <3

  • you got some of the lyrics wrong awkward

  • genial!!!

  • Je pleure ! C'est tellemnt beau, vrai !

    I'm crying !

  • "and what's the matter with the color of their skin?" gosh, I thought the English version was pretty, that just gives me chills every time -3 she's always been my favorite -3 Idc what anyone says, she's the strongest princess -333

  • The french have such beautiful ways of saying things.

  • In every language the translation is a little bit different, and everytime I see another one, Im am really touched! • Comment removed

  • French & Japanese are the best versions :D!

  • Que j'aime ma langue... :) c'est définitivement la meilleure version !!

  • I love this version a lot! The language is beautiful and the voice sounds very good.

This is one of my favorite versions, along with the English, Latin Spanish, German,

    Swedish, and Polish versions.

  • To clarify for anyone trying to learn french: 'Peux-tu peindre en mille couleurs L'Air du Vent' does not mean 'Can you paint in a thousand colors the song of the wind'.

It literally means 'Can you paint in a thousand colors the air of wind'. L'Air du Vent means wind, not song of the wind. Song of the wind would be Chanson de L'Air du Vent.

  • I prefer the English and Canadian french lyrics.

  • Latin American Spanish and the French one are the most beautiful.

  • I love it! So pretty! French is such a BEAUTIFUL language! Thank you very much for posting the translation in English, that way I can understand it.

  • i will not cry i will not cry i will not cry T-T i cried, so beautiful

  • Definitely the best one, along with English, Finnish, Greek, Danish and Japanese.

  • watch?v=v3mPyA-6je4

    :)

  • Is it weird for me to be in tears?

God, I love French so much.

  • I absolutely love Frsnce it's my fav country even though I've never been there but I can speak French!! Ily Paris

  • It amazes me how in different languages, they have different words for a song,

  • @queenieak What amazes me is that they have reinvent the song not only to the tune but also to the images and the motions of the mouth and still come out with a result that is possibly even more beatiful than the original

I really really really love this French version so much better than the English <3

The Dutch one gives me chills too <3

  • this song is so pretty in french and i don't even speak this language

  • french is soo beautiful

    I love it!

  • Correction Les version francaise*

  • Could you perhaps list the french in the box below the video, so it's easier to copy?

  • THANK YOU!! I am learning French and Disney songs help so much, reading the French lyrics vs the English ones and hearing the song at the same time is amazing.

  • Beautiful. Beautiful in English and French. Xx

  • Thank you for posting both translations! :)

    Super helpful.

.. French version is beautiful! And English.

  • love it.. love it love it, and i love french!

  • Najlepsza jest polska wersja "Edyta górniak- kolorowy wiatr"

  • I'm really annoyed that English became the second most spoken language in the world. - _- IT SOUNDS AWEFUL AND IS THE MOST IMPRACTICAL LANGUAGE ON THE FACE OF THIS PLANET!!! (Coming from a person who was born and raised in England as who has English ancestry) Honestly I had to use spell check for a lot of this! I can't even spell in my own language!!! That's how impractical it is!!!

  • @Bloodshotshatterbone How many/ which other languages do you speak then?

  • @ridderres I sometimes speak french to my mum (not very well) to help with my french studies at school. My mum likes it because she can brush up on her french. Since my mum moved to England from Canada she sorta forgot a lot of it. I'm learning german at school too and I tried to learn a bit of Japanese but unfortunately I ran out of time. :) I'm only really fluent in English though. You?

  • @Bloodshotshatterbone I'm a native Dutch speaker. My English is about fluent, just as my German. I have been taught in Latin, so I can read the languages that came from Latin, but not speak or write them. And I have had some French but that is something that I can mostley read and have forgotten to speak and stuff. And some other little sentences and words in other languages. But I have to say that my preference probably lies with English (after Dutch).

  • @ridderres That's cool and impressive :) You're really lucky you had the opportunity to learn so much. In England we don't have all that even though we're part of the E.U. They cut a lot of the funding that goes into language learning and they only have stuff in English over here. No books in other languages, nothing. The only way I can find anything in other languages is by Youtube. Another problem is the attitude of ppl here. Ppl don't see the point in learning another language.

    <3 chills

  • OMD!!!!! J'aime beaucoup cette chanson!!!!!!!!

  • go french class!

  • @raphitron AGREED! my friends thought i was an idiot for not taking spanish

  • J'ai falli pleurer.

    (-> I almost cried.)

  • OMG ive listened to this about 5 times in a row i'm taking french and i'm so keeping it up after this

  • @impulsoerba Same! :)

  • @impulsoerba THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I'VE BEEN DOING MYSELF! THese disney translation videos are really helpful haha

  • question: who did the english lyrics were from australia i have watched this movie 358000000 times and those are not the mofo lyrics but the french version is awesomesauce

  • OMG!!! this song is so much meaningful than the english version!!!

  • The difference between the singing and speaking voice is laughable

  • @80smusicfanNO1 Why ?

  • Because there's such a big difference....is explanation really needed?

  • @80smusicfanNO1 I'm french , and I don't see any difference ^^

  • I love the lyrics of it. It' much more powerful than the english lyrics i think.

  • multilanguage video lead me to here! its so beautiful! :D

  • this really is the prettiest version of this song

  • Soooo beautiful! Thank you for uploading!!

  • The french version is beautiful. However the beauty of the song in English is lost in translation. In English the song is one of the most chillingly beautiful things I've ever heard.

  • @OmgitsNeens If you want something that is more like the English version, try the Quebec French one. The translation is more literal.

  • @theJrLinguist

Oh yeah ... and does not sound french at all x3

  • @Ookristall91oO What did u mean ?

  • Its not that different, its not like the Chinese version *shudder*

  • Polish vershion is the best ! ( Pocahontas - Kolorowy Wiatr ).

  • in the main line, its says "to paint the AIR of the wind", not the song. i don't know where you're getting that word from.

either way, the rest is well translated. thanks for the upload!!

  • @nyumino

actually "air" or "song" are both fitting, because there is a word game with "air", which can mean in french both a "tune" and the "air" ... so the translation is right too, depends on the way you understand it.

  • I like how this rhymes, usually dubs just try to translate the song, not make it rhyme or anything...

    Thanks for uploading this :3

  • Wow, my french learned in school is enough to understand half of this :)

Beautiful voice :) Beautiful language, like German :)

  • greeting from canada. i should know french (considering all my friends are fluent and french is canada's second language), but i didnt understand a word :P it is very beautiful though

  • This is beautiful. French is a beautiful language!

    Greetings from Finland!

  • @TheChifuyu of curse is beautiful, i wanna student french how new languaje... greetings from Mexico.

  • @TheChifuyu And Suomi even more ! Such a beautiful and complex language ! I am completely in love with it !

  • @TheChifuyu Finnish is a beautiful language, too. :D

There's nothing to do, whatever version I listen to, I get goosebumps when it gets around 2:30 . Just beautiful (I prefer this version, though, but I'm French so I can be considered rather biased, :P)

  • i think its rather : "can you paint in thousand colors the air of the wind ?" for " peux tu peindre en mille couleurs l'air du vent", than paint the song of the wind so the tune. As in french air can refer to a tune of music or sound or the air that we breathe. I don't know if i made myself clear my english needs more pratice. Anyway this song is awesome, the lyrics are perfect so is the voice of pocahontas

    donc peinture l'espace c'occupe l'air.

  • Thank you so much for putting the French lyrics along with the translation! < 333

I'm studying French, so this helps a lot.

  • I love the translation too, it's not litterally the english version, but it's beautiful :)

  • so amazingl! french made my already favorite disney song even more beautiful than it already was :)

  • only the french version of this Song gives me chills

  • @starryeyedocean

then you haven't heard the danish or the german version !!!

  • @theKARSE

I think many (espeacially not german) ppl like the german version, cause its a poetic language. the whole song is full of rhymes in the the german version, but its a language with many hard sounding words. French is the absolutely opposite, cause its so flowing, soft and soundfull.

well and danish ... what should i say? for myself i like all the nordic languages ^^ so i have to like it :)

but after all u can see how 1 movie is connecting so many countries with same feeling :D

  • @Lolmann1337

they are all beautiful indeed :)

  • @starryeyedocean

Listen to the Swedish verision! :)

  • @starryeyedocean i couldn't agree more :D

  • @starryeyedocean

Then you have to hear the Dutch version!

  • @starryeyedocean same here :o

  • @starryeyedocean try listening to Polish version then :)
