  • I'm going to go with Simon Bradley's approach to amp demoing: play simple stuff, and a variety of stuff, to show what exactly the amp can do. That means that playing fast stuff isn't that great for demoing gear, although, a little bit is nice.

  • all that beautiful equipment, but no skills...

  • @rabidfreak12 It's a demo. And by the way, If he's more of a tone freak than you are, he's probably got the riffs and shred skills to back it up.

  • @skitzoification why would you demo a amp with such crappy playing? you must suck just as much as him, so yeah, fuck off

  • @rabidfreak12 you should've thought about it before talking shit, If you had any brains you'd realize that it doesn't matter if someone plays "the trooper" on an amp demo, power chords are more than enough to really show it's gain capabilities. only an internet douch like you would've gotten his panties in a twist over me for throwing in modesty. I can shred better than you bro, set up a day and I'll make you furiously go back to your wannabe bedroom shredding hobby.

  • @skitzoification modesty? that's what you call being a another internet dickhead? dude this guys just plays so weak, how is this showing the amps capabilities? yeah i play for a hobby fucker, im not a little pussy like you who thinks speed, or you "shredding" is all, good luck ever get laid with a pussy attitude, go listen to your avenged sevenfold or killswitch fags, fucking pussy, man up

  • @rabidfreak12 Done projecting your insicurities on me? and it seems like you have issues with using the english language, you failed horribly at understanding my comment It seems. I stated the fact that you have no modesty. oldest trick in the book to say I listen to shit like avenged. KSE, yes i do listen, but I've seen Suffocation almost as much your mom got banged (that's alot). why the random assumptions? Shred doesn't mean just speed and Unecessary use of sweeps. I'm done arguing swine.

  • @skitzoification insEcurities? sure thing buddy, enjoy banging and suffocating your mother, feel sorry for you buddy and your misunderstanding on how to properly assess the English language, but that's what you get when you father is your mother brother, good day to you and your ignorance, they will, I'm sorry to say, will get you nowhere, get educated, son.

  • @rabidfreak12 okay whatever man, as long as you shut the fuck up. =)

  • @skitzoification you were never welcomed to open your mouth so sure, see ya!

  • does it work with a 4x12 cab?

  • I would quit saying Boys and Girls...?

  • 7:10 Like a bows!

  • if you have a humbucker guitar like les paul. this amp is not that great. the tube screamer won't do the justice here. But if you have a single coil equiped guitar like stratocaster, this is the amp for you. tube scramer and booster on and you will get very tasty clean spanking sparkling tone. I am happy with it.

  • @drpakman....Why wouldn't this sound good w/ h'buckers?

  • @OhldSchool this amp has brighter sound - very bright highs like fender Champ. i like my fender sound bright and spanky. this amp doen't deliver nice base sound (I tried different cabs). so if you play a les paul you will hear bright highs and muddy lows. I think if you plug a SG may sound good because SG has less mid and low than LP. BTW if you get this amp, please change tubes. I did with Tung-sol tubes and I love it.

  • i think you should test de amp a little bit more before you put de tube screamer on

  • The tiny terror is far superior as far as lunchbox heads go

  • I dunno if it's just me but it sounds like he's mixing the pure line signal from the guitar somehow with the signal from the mic

  • buenisimo..

me encataria saber el precio..si alguien lo sabe

    uno de 50w o 100w

    desde ya, muchas gracias !!

  • @joeoj12321 it just about would, but headroom would be literally nonexistent.

  • Fender 2x6v6's (old silver face)bring life to a tubescreamer.. this is a little muddy.. looks nice and great idea tho..bit of reverb and single coils would give it a lift..

  • TK, how loud is this amp? If it is unmiked, will it stand up to a (reasonable) drummer or will it be overwhelmed? Thanks

  • @joeoj12321 it probably wont, its only 15 watts

  • @joeoj12321 yes it would be fine, i have the epiphone valve junior and i can hear it fine with my band, bassist has a 75 watt bass amd and i can hear it loud and clear

  • I liked this review a lot ! i think this is the one that reviewed this amp, that does'nt just play Blues and stuff :) haha, how does this word with pedals btw ?

  • hahhahhahhahha

  • It might be better if you used a better guitar player. I'm sure the amp sounds better than the demo shows. No offense.

    C'mon man!

  • LONG LIVE THE TONE KING!!!

  • sounds like utter crap

  • HORRIBLE review!

  • Has anyone else counted the times this idiot says "okeey?"

16 Fucking times in approximately 4 minutes? i really want to kick him in the face.

And for the record; no, i don't have better things to do

  • @radioslakt argh! you've made me listen out to his "okey?"s lol

  • That tone is horrendous. Is that the built-in mic from the camera? I hope so. Wow.

  • More action, less words T.K. plzz

  • Hi TK.

    Is this amp very loud?

  • Note: The guy talks about pretty much nothing for 3:30 so if you already know that the amp has tone and volume controls, just skip to the demo.

  • so much further ado!

  • asking for this and a an acoustic bass cab for a graduation present. how well do you think this thing would play with a big muff and the clean signal?

  • Comment removed

  • Man you make this little fucker almost sound like a marshal mg30... Shame on you Tone King !

  • i've got one goin through an old 4x12 with jensen [could be jenson not sure] speakers and its fantastic... i like the 15w setting more than the 5w tho cause the little thing seems to love volume :]

  • I wonder why they didn't think of this sooner. Anyway, Tone King, I have a question...I just found out about this thing today. Of all the reviews I've seen on here, some say it doesn't have enough gain for metal. However, if I use a Dean VMNT with the Livewire pickups, do you think I'd be able to get more gain out of it than with regular passives?

  • Ok ,Ok YES DUDE ITS OK

  • wow that is some terrible sounding distortion...sounds almost like the audio is clipping

  • @superskwrl The Tone King hasn't quite figured out how to mic an amp yet.

  • you keep going tone king! despite the haters... the king isn't dead.

  • Comment removed

  • If the FIRST time he said without further ado was at 3:40, then why was there further ado for well over a minute?

  • Booooo!

  • I was curious to all these people that always criticize the tone king and I went to their channels homepages etc .. just to see what gives... and was surprised to see that 99% of these turbo critics SUCK at playing guitar.

But I dont mean like leisurely suburban family sex suck, I mean like total skullfuck deep larynx lung fucked kinda suck...

you know it figures, because I mean who else who have that much blatant cynicism for a guy trying to demo gear.

  • @awesomejohnnet u know u dont have to be that much of a great player to have an OPINION - i appreciate TTK's effort and I keep coming back to his videos but I have to say that the tone in almost every single video sucks which is sad - these demos could be really good. but thats not the point I wanted to make - its this: you dont have to have any guitar-ability to know what sounds good and what doesnt - so stop that "make it better or stop complaining" thing - its ridiculous..

  • @GetReide

    All opinions are welcome,

snotrag critisizm just to be a jerkoff are not.

The point I am making is that players with experience are here to hear the gear,

but scumbags who suck at guitar and take out their frustrations posting dickhead comments that are just obnoxious are a pain in the ass to the overall good sharing energy on youtube.

Ive been playing 40 years, I always help out when I can and share, but some newbies have a very fucked up "yo dude" attitude that stinks up youtube.

  • @awesomejohnnet Well tone king is as the name says the tone king the man is looking for tone, we dont come here to watch the videos and see his playing is for demos, his opinion and the tone of the stuff he shows, most people dont understand that

  • @awesomejohnnet PGS Demos are the only quick to the point demos that are good.

and lol "But I dont mean like leisurely suburban family sex suck, I mean like total skullfuck deep larynx lung fucked kinda suck..."

I am going to use those xP they're great xD

  • It's duh Joe Pesci show!

  • Yawn.....

  • Why is your Vocal Mic louder than the Amp? come on.. the loudest part from that amp was the Feedback.... this is a Lame demo.. i've played this in the music store and it is So much better sounding than this demo. come "tone king" u can do better. turn it up and rock out with real riffs... that ppl play.. not some lame nothingness.

  • waaaaay too much bass, in clean and drive mode, too.

  • All the heads behind him made me Jizz. ENGL, Mesa Boogie Recto, 5150.

  • demo begins at 3:48

    thumbs so every1 can see

  • From a note Official Ibanez Guitars USA wrote me: The TS circuit in the TSA15H is the same as in the original TS808 and features the JRC4558D IC.

  • you tube youtube really hate the thruth

  • i have this amp. it is is one bad boy! GREAT DEMO!

  • worst demo EVER!!!

  • what an amazing tone

  • Guinness!!

  • i whan to buy a new amp whats the best amp brand

  • @RG5DX1 Get a Line 6 Spider IV 15. It's epic.

  • @Kyuubi1589 You're a fucking idiot. Never give anyone advice about guitar or music, ever.

  • @drone713 Just because I like Line 6 doesn't mean you have to be a prick abou it.

  • @RG5DX1 line 6 sux in terms of tone, get marshall or vox :)

  • @RG5DX1 Bugera they may be clones but they're just as good as the originals if not better at a fraction of the original cost if you want to hear them just look at the tone king's channel he has lost of good Bugera demos

  • Anyone know how this thing is with pedals? My Vox starts hissing after like four pedals.

  • Could I plug this into a 4 ohm cabinet?

  • OK I own this amp. This is really bad demo. Sorry Mr Tone King. This amp is awesome. It is really great with clean sounds and it really shows the charater of different guitatrs. It can do Blues Country, Rock, funk ( even heavy rock) but not metal. The tone is warm but crisp and the tone controls really provide for a lot of varience. Great at 5 watts for the bedroom. 15 watts even better with a tone as good as many far more expensive amps.

  • man i love this amp!!!! great video!!!!!

  • it sounds like a piece of crap...but...it´s just because of you Mr. Tone King. What the fuck you are playing there?? By the way...tune your guitar. Dude, dude, dude.

  • @Vermont12685 I hear ya. C'mon that #1 thing to check for any guitarist. That never ceases to amaze me that dudes won't tune their guitar.

  • @Vermont12685 - It's really astounding, isn't it?

When the demoing player knows what he's doing, it can actually make viewers want to buy the demoed item, or play better.

For competent, to the point demos of this amp (sans the half-baked / double-long tutorial)

see what GeorgesMusic OR craftonmusik have done.

If I was a Ibanez (or pick a logo off the wall) I'd consider some kind of cease and desist action here.

    Maybe pay him to stop.

  • guitar's pretty out of tune

  • If anyone is seriously considering an amp like this, then you need to check out the Egnater tweaker 15, 40, or 88. Awesome amps, and so much more tone tweaking abilities. The Tweaker 15 head is only $399, and it'll go from jangle clean to brutal distortion and everywhere in between.

  • "TALK KING"!

  • Hey toneking,

Can you please give me a list of amps this size affordable, tubes, low wattage and a nice clean.

    Thanks in advance.

  • i think this is a pretty limited amp when it comes to drive tones...ppl use the ts pedal to boost their alr overdriven amps, not a clean tone!! unless of course u wanna use it for low gain stuff like blues or rock. overall though i can't say i'm impressed =/

ps: maybe ibanez could have a built in distortion channel as well then the ts circuit to boost that channel XD

  • @tanreu Well, you could always put a distortion pedal in front of the amp...That way you get a clean channel, a TS overdrive and, depending on the distortion pedal one or two distortion channels. I was looking for a low wattage tube amp that can deliver up to 15 watts. I was very interested in an ENGL Gigmaster but the TSA15H plus matching cabinet and footswitch combined are cheaper than the ENGL head alone. Since I have an old Blackstar HT dual peal lying around, I might give the TSA a try.

  • "TUBE SCREAMER AMP"なのに、そんなギターでプレゼンしてどうすんの? もしお兄さんがメーカーか問屋の担当セールスの説明真に受けてこのザマなんだったら、そのセールス使いもんになんないから変えてもらいな。

  • this, the Tiny Terror or the Mini MOFO? i am not sure.

  • This amp sounds like crap.

  • i have the amp and ironicly i like the clean better than the overdrive

  • You're the man!

  • this or the laney cub head???

  • Is that the best tone you can get out of this demo? C'mon, your the tone king?

  • @RasputinsFate Yeah, I dont know what it is, but even when I own or have tried amps that TTK demo's, they always end up sounding really average! BTW, Tone King, man u have some serious gear - hope u have insurance!

  • @RasputinsFate LOL HAHA C'MON I THOUGHT YOUR THE TONE KING ! Jesus what was Ibanez thinking? They make great stringed instruments but I stop right there. Tiny or anything else all day long.

  • To all that say there is no effects loop: watch the banner that comes up at 1:49.

  • sounds nice, but how loud is it? 15 watts seems a bit on the low side

  • honstly i wanna like this amp, but i dont. and i dont think it will sell well. there is no effects loop, a verry limited eq, a small range of sounds, no that loud, and you can do the same thing or better with a 6V6 or a 6L6 amp with a good TS808.

  • okay

  • it sounds ok...i guess...but if it's cheap then it will be good for a practice amp

  • @alapunk13 around six hundred for what hes got

  • @sbvikings30 so is it any good for the price?

  • @alapunk13 nope not at all, try the line six spider half stack thats around 600. its not a tube but its a pretty good amp

  • anyone know what the current price for this stack is? i was looking into it because i heard that it is affordable.

  • Cleans are meh. They are clean, but lack character.

Boosted cleans are once again meh. Just a little dirt.

The TS activated sounds alright, though.

  • I don't know why people are saying that there isn't an effects loop. There is, it's on the back.

  • @andrewpmast Where it is on the back??

    Have a look at 2:19...

BUT I have seen another review that has one??

    Go figure...

  • @daveleslie64 Yea, some of the early models/prototypes didn't have one. It's more recent. But for sure, if you buy one today from MF or GC, it will have one. It's on the back, right side from the back view.

  • thank you bondman! Would it be good enough the overdrive circuit built in this amp? I mean, good enough that i won't have to buy an extra od pedal? i don't really want something really heavy, just nice dirty tone.

  • @maufonseca17 the built in TS pedal in this amp sounds perfect to me. You can't get the real sound from it just by this video. because youtube changes sound quality. I would say you could use the OD on here and have a delay pedal running through the FX loop so it wont run infront of the OD.

  • Comment removed

  • I think i saw it says made in China! should it be something to worry about? isn't it better the mexican made blues junior?

  • Not bad...

  • i have a marshall microstack and im considering this amp. so would this amp fit on top of the two cabs?

  • @Nh1959rr5150 no, forget about those small cabs dude, they are garbage, get the one that is made for this.

  • Great demo!!! But, I got arequest for ya TTK, could ya' make another demo of this amp, but this time crank the volume on the clean all the way to tube break-up and then over that add the tube screamer to push the tubes even further!!!! Thanks dude!!!

  • So with out further adieu, going to demo, demo the amp, okay ready... ok, without furth adieu... Ok... ready.... Ok..... here's the guitar... ok.... here we go, boys and girls... ok... ready... ok.... ok....

hahah... Just messin! Thanks for the demo vid. I might have to get one of these little fellas. I have a Keely Mod'd TS-9 and I love it!

  • are there any amps with attenuators built in? so you can really drive the tubes at low volumes

  • @Schpudd this switches between 5 and 15 watts, so you can really get the tubes rollin, and it has built in overdrive so you can do it at low volumes anyways

  • I love this amp! We pushed 6 12's (2 different cabs, Kustom half stack and Orange 2x12) with this little devil and it rocked!

HAHAHA... Now everyone has to step it up fo sho!

  • Hey man, thanks for the great review. I was just wondering what your recommendation would be for this amp in terms of performing with it. I'm looking to invest in one soon. Also, on the 5-watt mode, how does it sounds when you really crank the volume?

  • IT SPINNS !!!!!!!

  • let me know when you will be donating your gears and guitars to a 3rd world country coz i'll be first in line! :)

  • All of those amps, but you can't afford a stand to hold the mic?

lol... just messin' with ya! Great review! I think I need to go buy this beast!

  • @fieroturbo People normally do just that with the Sennheiser e609 mic, they just dangle it infront of the amp by the cable. There's really not much point in setting up a mic stand for it.

  • Interesting amp. I wonder how it sounds cranked to 10 without the tube screamer circuit.

  • What pickups do you have in that guitar? Sounds like a great amount of low end...

  • Yay, no EMGs!

  • better than i thought it would be. Price point good on head.

  • you know somethings messed up when a 9 minute video has 4 minutes of talking.

  • @immatting yeah but this amp has a lot to talk about with the back panel and what not. I think it was a good review

  • is it a really METAL amp?

you didn't crank it all the way, because?

and can you play it with 4x12?

  • can this amp do metal with a distortion pedal ??

  • @TheRiyad1 what amp cant?

  • def. getting one. BTW, nice 5150 in the back

  • I really like that amp (and cab)

  • You need some one who could really play good blues riffs and rock riffs and real rhythms to demo it dude....but you have a really good speaking voice....

  • in your opinion, is this loud enough for a smaller venue like a jazz club or a restaurant

  • class A?

  • is it loud enough to e heard over drums? and is it good for small venues?

  • Comment removed

  • YES!!! Finally an amp with a hotwired tube sound!!! NO NEED TO BOOST HERE HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! SHAME ITS ONLY 15 watts. Thank God for mics. TIME FOR SOME METAL!!!! Demo with some metal.

  • Sorry Ibanez... based on what I'm hearing on this video, this amp sounds terrible. Plus no effects loop? And the so called Tone King? What's with all the "boys and girls" crap? Sounds like Tone King's been in his basement too long and has become a little weird.

  • @jtryde Remember, its an overdrive, not a distortion. So, the reason why you might think it sucks is because you're hearing a clean tone clucking through the gain of the ts circuit. Thats what overdrives do; they keep clean signals and put that drive over top of it. What you should do, is have a distortion pedal to kick in as a second channel basically. and THEN use the ts on top of it. Trying to use just overdrive on a clean channel isn't a very attractive sound for rock or any type of metal.

  • @jtryde Aw, is the metal kid butthurt?

  • What is so difficult about including an FX loop? $20 in parts and labor maybe? Makes the amp 1000x more versatile. Bummer.

  • damn I thought there was a fx loop. they should have just used 2 speaker outs with an Ohm switch.

  • I wish you would have boosted it w/ a TS-808 too...

  • I'd really like to hear the volume on the amp CRANKED...no boost, no tube screamer. I just want to know if you can get that "about to explode" sound of of the tube amp part of the amp. All in all though, great review, TTK. How about a shootout with the JCA20H?

  • @rictorblackbus well at 4:40 it sounds kinda like tht

  • @IHoawwakeyes sort of, but not quite. I'm talking like a fender champ on 12 kind of power tube saturation. 6V6's driven to the limit is an aquired taste, but I love it. I just want to see if this head can pull that off or not.

  • @rictorblackbus exactly what i want to see. I don't know which to buy!!!

  • @epitaph664 well, the champ rules, but I do want a wee bit more wattage to be able to jam with light drums...hopefully a retailer will actually stock this thing so we cal all have a go at it!

  • @rictorblackbus i just mic mine up, works great

  • is this thing loud enough to gig with?

  • great demo covered all possible tones would like to see this amp with single coils but this was another great demo great job!

  • hahaha you said bass, middle, treble but it was actually bass, treble, volume :D

just messing with you. nice demo!

  • @dlguitarmaster7 Yup, you're right ... I f^&*ed up :-) ... I caught that too. Oh well :-) Have a good wkend!!

  • @lmsjr Hi question can you connect a 4x12 8 ohms Cab to it!?

  • hahaha you said bass, middle, treble but it was actually bass, trable, and volume :D

just messing with you. nice demo!

  • Great review!

Can you get a nice vintage fuzz tone by cranking the master volume on the clean channel? Or does it stay really clean?

    Regards,

    Stang

  • how we suppose to hear the sound of the amp with that shitty ass playin ur just makin noise ,bang the strings WTF!

  • TTK,

Could you do an addendum to the review? You didn't crank the overdrive without the TS circuit. Would like to hear the unaltered overdrive sound.

    Thanks

  • I find this trend of micro tube amps fascinating, with just abALL GLORY TO THE TONE KING.

  • nothing interest with the sound of it, I think
