• @fckliberals

just because ur family fought for in the war dont mean nothing still ppl who fought n da war didnt equate black ppl to their own which is why they had segeration! and jim crow retard the gov should pay instead of building wmd and telling every1 else not to do it

• @mindfitness i feel you but you gotta understand where this is coming from niggers were on the feel and niggas were something created out of ignorance thinking that they could change the meaning but i cant blame my people but when you got nothing else to hold on to in the point of time u take anything u can get.

• Its funny how Black ppl dont go around thinking that they can call ppl of other races words with racial implications regardless of how they spell them but other races have no problem using NIGGA and thinking that because it's spelled slighly different that its ok. Cracker, Cracka, Crakkka, Crack-uh etc, would all be considered racist regardless of how its spelled but I guess that rule doesn't apply when it comes to Black ppl.

• I wonder if he has West Indian parents because Brathwaite is very popular there.

Nicely said on the other way now I have a better articulated response to every time my sister calls me a nigga.

Thanks all the way from Barbados XD

• Story of my life.

• Damn ..

• fuck that nigga

• I want to kidnap this guy and make him perform in canada (not creepy at all, it's an understatement)...

GAAH. why are we so damn behind, Canada?

• @JayLyriqq Fuck the South, move to Chicago. Some of the most black racist people that I have come across. It goes both ways bra. Matter of fact, it goes multiple ways, not just black and white. Get your mind right!

• Can u imagine if Tupac was fucking on here??!! WOW

• ahh i know him, he came by the place i used to work at a few times. small world.

• For people who thinks that racism isn't alive then clearly they are living a lie. I am a 22 year old black female & had to deal with racism still. My college roommate was racist. Racism is just hidden better in this day & age. It's a shame that still today people can't see past skin color. When you're a minority the odds are clearly stacked against you. I was told that I wouldn't finish high school & would be pregnant by the age of 16. Guess what? I graduated in the top five in my class with ho

• so i was kickin it with this white girl . . . lmaoo

• When he pulled down his hat and started talking like that, why did I immediately start thinking of Eminem? XD

• wow this man is a genious

its true many songs in rap use the word nigga as a sign of friendship and hate and when another person from a different raced uses it ,it offends the black person but rappers are using it so much that many think its ok for them to say like dahlak said rap is heard by a majority white audience so what rappers say ,to them bacially gives them a view of all black society its fucked up but thats how it is true word spoken by a intellegent man

• hope my asian and mexican potnas see this!

• @lilmavin Im mexican and I feel homie here, here in illinois near chicago its kinda normal for us to say "nigga". now when i was younger i didnt peep the meaning of the word, but im a lil bit older now and i see shit for what it is. i keep saying "nigga" but in mind theres always the thought of "Never Ignorant Getting Goals Accomplished" cause I'll be damned if racist wanna call me ignorant or any one else of color whos trying to make it in life.

• This dude has better flow than Weezy. I have one of his mixtapes.

• @faggymcbitchtits1 whered you get his mixtape?

• Wow That Was A Good Point About People Using That Word

• Comment removed

• Dahlak...thank you for saying that.

• a word used to exclude is now exclusively used by the excluded and with it excluding its original excluders who use the slang to now gain inclusion into to the group with which their group wanted to be removed from American politics or race. complicaited and confusion...wow deep

• its not about racism its about jumping the que

• if u like rap and poetry look at my videos and subscribe

• I ♥ this poem sooo much, me and my sister quote it all the time :)

• fckliberals7,

If you really access the state of black people today in America, in regards to education, healthcare and housing, especially in the inner city, than you will really understand the LEGACY of slavery. It runs extremely deep: to the food we eat, the criminal justice system, the resources in our neighborhoods to the frequency of street cleaning in those neighborhoods as well. Racism is very much stil alive, it is just a whole lot more subtle, systemic and institutional.

• @Lisi4Christ Racism is still alive but not that much. The reason the inner cities stay so bad is because of gangs...DUH!! You can't go down there if your wearing the wrong colors. Why should we help anybody if they are ignorant enough to kill over a fucking rag.? Education healthcare and whatever else you said is a bunch of bologna. Pull your pants up and speak normal fucking english youll get a job and be okay. Its that simple.

• @fckliberalS7 its much deeper than gangs and pants my friend. I wish you had eyes to see, I didn't see until until I was educated about history and the state of our society. This is not a US thing, it is a global epidemic. I would like you to research any country where there are blacks or darker skinned peoples and report back on their standard of living...Brasil, Argentina, India, countries in Latin America. You will find a parallel.

• you have to be blind if you that naive to believe that racism doesn't exist in this country

• julian curry blew this mofo out the water

• My friends who are white always ask me why they can't say the" N" word and I don't really give them an answer. I just tell them to think about it. I don't understand why they (my friends) want to say it. They seem so troubled because they can't. Again, I really don't understand. I mean...just don't say it! Right??? Can we start there... maybe?

• @TheatreFreakGeek the problem is keeping the word exclusively black only makes the racial gap beetween black and white bigger, most people say they use it to lessen the original meaning of the word and make it there own but by making it racialy exclusive it only makes it still racist for a white person to use which just makes it another racial weapon

• @TheatreFreakGeek I feel you, I have the same problem with my " friends ". Ignorance is a powerful thing and to a degree; IMHO we are all a little ignorant. It perplexes me; why would anyone want to be or feel they need my approval because of my skin color more often I’ve encountered a complete lack of respect because I am black therefore it's a new age and hell freedom of speech right anyone can say whatever they want, however they want despite my feelings on the subject.

• powerful

• That was powerful man. You might not run into the aggravation as much though if you pulled up your pants and quit hitting on them bimbos. The baggy jeans created communication ignorance.

• -ilike this dude.

• stop taking the poem out of context. we all know SOME africans sold other africans into slavery but we're not the ones who came up with the label nigger... whcih originated from the African country Niger. because most dumbass slave owners thought all slaves were from there. and most importantly stop defending your racist ancestry.

• Comment removed

• @fckliberalS7 Instead it was just white people that committed the atrocities against black people once they were bought.

Blaming the people that sold them is needed yes, but blame should also be directed at those who chained them, shipped them over then sold them on wall street, and yes, that would be us whitey's. Who also raped them, took away civil liberties, burned their churches down and drove them out of their homes in the south (and that was only 50 or so years back)

• @fckliberalS7 you need a hug.

• LOL

• @illliteracy this dude need a life not a hug

• @fckliberalS7 Fact: After the civil rights act durning the 1950's instead of being overtly racist it changed to a subtle racism with the belief that African-Americans were lazy, and that they( being African-Americans) needed to pull themselves by their "boot straps" which in actuality is much more difficult than it sounds. Regardless of how "equal" we claim America is,there is wealth distribution gap is spread wide between African-Americans and European Americans. Since wealth builds over time

• @fckliberalS7 As I continue....Since wealth builds over time European-Americans are at an advantage of the potential difference in financial assert of $43,143 compared to 25,794, this is just with financial assets alone.. Secondly, you act as if racism still does not effect us today. Just because overt racism was socially unacceptable 50 years ago, does not mean that people suddenly became accepting of different races.

• @fckliberalS7 In europe the jews did,in the us asylum. why it bother you when it comes for another race, hmmm not racist????? Get knowledge.

• @fckliberalS7 nobobdy even talkin bout gettin money back but u. hes not even talkin bout that so stay on topic .u cant even spell u dumb bitch.if u think that racism of the past doesnt effect the future then ur just another ignorant ass white person who thinks they know about shit that they could NEVER relate to

• @fckliberalS7 bro and instead of you telling other people about your point of view. go get a life.

• @fckliberalS7

wait so the japanese can get reperations for there time in internment camps, the jews can get reperations for the holocust but african americans cant get reperations for slavery and civil rights injustice continuing on into the 70's and beyond. African americans will never get reperations but you dont have to be black to see the injustice.

• @fckliberalS7 I feel reparations are a half ass cop out because your right we didn't have to go through all the shit out ancestors did. But to be honest reparations are still a must. I feel reparations should help repair the fucked up communities world wide to help do just that repair.

• @fckliberalS7 OK first of all black ppl didnt want and or ask for reparation in the begining... what they wanted and asked for was an apology and the same civil rights and liberties that everyone else seemed to have but them. When they couldnt get that, that's when the protesting and the black panthers began to fight back through raising awareness. & When that fell through THATS WHEN THEY ASKED FOR REPARATION. They werent begging for money..they were asking for equality JACK ASS

• @fckliberalS7 Wow! This sounds exactaly like a racist comment? But i guess sense you said you aren't a racist then thats imposible.

• I have no idea what you are talking about at first. But for the second part, I never said that everyone has excepted every race, for example...MY DAD! But now days it is reverse racism. Tell me how I can't say nigger or spic but a black person can say honkey or cracker? Tell me how many "white" college funds there are compared to "black" college funds. Tell me why over 60% of welfare goes to black people? Life is so much harder for white people. GET REAL

• Yeah, reverse racism, because White people stopped altogether didn't they.

Reverse racism is still racism and is perpetuated throughout all of society, no one said it is right for black people to say honkey or cracker, but I am not conceited enough to take offense to those words because I know that they carry none of the connotations that the N-word does.

For you to compare honkey and cracker to N***** is blinkered to say the least.

You can't believe they are one in the same ?

• Wow! You are right on. I don't think they are the same. What I am getting at is how no one can say what they want now a days without offending someone. Black people keep using racism as an excuse. I mean they want to get money because of what their ancestors went through, which is fucking nuts, yet if I were to go on national t.v. and say how stupid it is, I would have every black person in Amerca pissed off and wanting to sue me. It is so bad that the government just gives them what they want..

• a.k.a. all the "black" college funds, and lack of welfare monitoring and rules. I know three black families on welfare that smoke pot and drink beer everyday. How in the fuck do they still get welfare? It is simple. No matter what your stance is on racism, there are going to be facts you don't exactly like. The crime rates in primarily black communities are higher then primarily white communities. No one wants to change the system because every black person on welfare will go fucking apes hit.

• Black people act as if they are owed something. Now before you jump all over me for being racist and a bigot, let me say that I am not. There are Hispanics, Asians, and whites that do the exact same thing, but the number black people are way higher. There are many black people who have succeeded, a.k.a. Obama, without rapping or selling drugs or shooting people. It is not the white man holding them down its their own ignorance. I am going to post a link to a vid. This is the mentality of

• a lot of people in "the hood" or on welfare

• Just search "Obama Money" first vid to pop up

• how can you compare three families that "you know" to a whole race of people.....not every black person is on welfare or receives food stamps....you speak about a life that you couldn't possibly know anything about....I definitely for one don't think i'm "owed something." You say that your not a racist or bigot but everything you speak about shouts racism and ignorance....BTW most black people aren't out rapping and selling drugs....don't believe everything you see on t.v.

• who said honky or cracker wasnt racist? see all yall get is words, you dont get racially profiled by the cops, hate crimes, negative stereotpyes of being a gangster or a drug dealer..just words.black kids get scholarships cus for years and years they werent allowed to get a good education or a job and this is americas way of sayin "sorry". a lot of black ppl are on welfare cus of racism from the past, when u have laws and hatred against u its gonna take u a while to catch up.

• yea its in the past but it still affects us today as does everything else in history. ur talkin bout slavery, but wat about all the racism that happened after slavery? every black person in america has a last name given to them by a slave owner so yes it does affect me. blacks didnt get the same opportunities as whites until the 60's and 70's which isnt very long ago at all. ha look how mad yall get when yal experience a small portion of what we've always went thru. dont get me started on taxes

• People see movies like Roots or Gone with the Wind and fantasize that it was just a privilege of any redneck to snatch up a slave and abuse them as they please. Slaves were expensive, like owning a luxury car today. The racism broke out upon their release when they were exposed to the common ignorance they'd not experienced with rich owners. There's always the exceptions, but they were in place to care for homes and be laborers, not targets for abuse.

• wow , do white people really think like this?

• No, we really honestly don't.

• you may never have but you benefit (more than you could ever, possibly imagine) from a system and a nation that did

• smh @ this guy you probably have black friends that you chill around and you dont ever express this and you have to come on this page and take out how you feel about them sure most people from this generation didnt feel the wrath of racism in its overt prime but an earthquake has aftershock and so does 450+ years of mental physical and social degradation

• First off, ALL my friends, including my black ones, know exactly how I feel. You know what they say. As long as they can work the system and pull the race card they would do it. White people do the same damn thing...I KNOW THIS. That whole 450+ years and aftershock is BULL SHIT!. You would have had to go through that shit to have any kind of physical and mental...(blah blah blah blah) Its time to move on. All is equal..well sort of..I think it went to far the other way...shhh it would be racist

• to say that outloud.........

• okay baby racist its time to go run around in ya sheet and scare people

• I've got to disagree with you. That 450 aftershock you're talking about IS true. I thought it wasn't either, until I used my brain. Think about it. My grandparents were dirt poor. But my grandpa got a decent job, so his son could get a better job, and now I am the first generation in my family going to college. If I were black, my grandfather would not have had a chance, maybe not my dad, and maybe not me. Racism is very alive in this country.

• @markushollywood Okay first off, black people today are in no way affected by slavery. They should remember it and what happened, only 50 years ago, so that they cherish and appreciate what their ancestors did to get them to this point. I was not a fucking slave owner and neither was any one in my family tree. In fact, I have a great great great something, I can't remember, that fought and lost his life fighting for the freeing of slaves.

• @fckliberalS7 You're pretty ignorant (I don't mean this as an insult) if you believe that "black people today are in no way affected by slavery". To a non-black person it might seem that black just need a crutch or an excuse for how we all seemingly fail at life. Blacks have gone from slaves to sharecroppers to the projects where white people made us go so that we would be isolated from the rest of city. Some ppl r still there-in poverty and in ignorance. Even once you get out ur still affected

• @markushollywood So I then think, if blacks are trying to get money from the families of slave owners I want money from black people because my family sacrificed so much for them. Sound dumb don't it?

• @fckliberalS7 Your great great "something" (as you so eloquently put it) put his own life on the line through choice, The African's brought over to the USA. were not afforded the same courtesy and were forced to work for no pay.

I am hoping you see the difference, I am somehow doubting it though.

• @markushollywood You are apparently stuck in the what 1600's and 1700's. You really need to move on. There is no excuse now days for anyone to blame someone else for their own failures. Your race has no bearing on your ability to work. Yes there are some businesses that do discriminate but they are far and few between now. Get over it.

• @fckliberalS7 Dick, no one is talking about discrimination in this day and age, no one is assigning blame for modern day failings either. MY race is that of White European so I don't know what you are getting at there. You appear to of shunned all Psychological and Sociological recriminations slavery has had on African Americans and how they manifested themselves as early as only 50 years ago. It's not as dead an issue as you like to make out.

• @markushollywood dude it is dead. Its kept alive by those who feel they are owed something. No one is owed a God damn thing. No one has the right to any amount of wealth. No has all these fucking rights because of their damn skin color. Get over it already. That saying, "the white man is holding me down" is complete bull shit. Look up the black founding fathers....learn REAL history.

• @fckliberalS7 I don't know anything about you man, what you studied, if u studied, so i'm just gunna try to be as respectful as I can be. If you are living in this world, anywhere near the Americas, then you should feel sad. Don't tell me you never heard of the system being deliberately racist... the term systematic disenfranchisement?

• Very Powerful!!!

• I love this...4 real!

• very interesting :)

i like your style and your mentality.

• Dahlak,,,,

Great show, Way to go kid, keep it coming.

PS: Who ever gave you that first name had to be very proud of his roots.

I love your name for I know what it represents.

• i been called chink, gook, and a dog-eater so whats the difference of me callin people niggas?

ain't a hater but someone enlighten me?

• you are right. In America, Asians were enslaved and bought and sold like pieces of meat. And world like chink and gook carry as much dark and historic connotation as the word which I refuse to say

• do they try to call u those names to refer to u as a friend or out of racism? if u dont get it then i dont know wat to tell u

• It is so true about white people acting black. But, why is it a black person can say redneck, cracker, or any other slang word for white people. I can't say nigger or nigga because it automatically becomes a hate crime.

• well those words have been used so much, that they don't care to complain about it. I have a friend from Tennessee who calls himself a red neck and a friend who laughs when people call her cracker. So many people are against using nigger because it's not true when there are so many educated blacks being overshadowed by even more ignorant "niggers". Besides, slavery has always been a topic of discussion. Maybe if someone mentioned prejudice towards whites because of past mistakes, it would be bad

• if we say racist words about yal its cus we mean it. yall try to call us racist shit and act like ur doin it out of friendship which is very very patronizing. lol @ white people complaining about racism

• had to rewind this shit 50 times to understand that exlusive sh!t.... but in the end you can't help but to bob your head in agreement. He was saying what needed to be said... The Truth

• this is tooo good

and toooo true

[!!!!!!!!!}

• He spoke da truth

• He gots to be the funniest poem I've ever heard

• look up Beau Sia's "I'm So Deep"

i promise u will not sotp laughing

• SIIIIIICCCCCCKKKK!!!!!

• This poem was tight....I'ma have to stop using the N-word for real...

• the N word is not the problem in the hood drugs and guns and crime is

• the "hood" is part of the world, these things are not exclusively hood issues they are world issues, money is the roof under which all of these issues reside, the hood is a microcosm of the world its crazy people forget that drugs werent created in the ghetto, guns arent created in the hood, crime, hate and violence arent created in the hood.the hood is a casualty of a overindulgent world. i dont want to over empathize but these are a few things that i think that people forget, thanks for the post

• yeah im using it too much.

my music? not as much tho.

• at Miss160588

he's basically sayin bein a "nigga" aint cool or whateva... like bein a nigga represents everything wrong about black people but people (mainly reffering to non-blacks) use the word as if its a free pass to be cool or whateva

i kno that explanation sucked, but u kinda get where im coming from??

• I Love This....He Spoke Some Deep Thoughts Just Know...But I Feel Every Word..

• This joint is real daddy, officially.

• I understand what he says but i dont know how to interpret it..

Is he basically saying that we should stop using that word.. or is he just refering to white people how they wanna be down with saying the word... Somebody hit me up

Thanxx

• He is saying both. We should stop using the word, because we are giving other people permission to use the word when we use it.

• hes talkin bout everybody. remember how he mentioned jlo?

• He saying we should stop using the word. The white people example was just an example of how stupid people sound using that word.

• OMG. I love him. And this poem...never better spoken!!! WoW.

• as a nas fan, I must say.

This guy did, in less than 3 mintues, double what nas half-heartedly did with his 50+ minute album.

Anyway, duke KILELD shit.

• lol, apparently people couldn't handle my thoughts from before. "Spam"

• man that was seriously legit. he makes A LOT of really good points about society today and the use of the n-word. thanks to H34RTL3SSINS4N3 for typing up all the words :)

• wtf., second page comments are just rewriting what that man said. doesnt make sense. lol. anways i like how def poetry atrrracts or carries with it a educated audiance as well as educated poets. mybe not all are educated but i cant tell.

• wtf! its not even all about that, thats just what U choose to watch, and this isnt about Nigger this and Nigger that, these are REAL issues we have to deal with on a daily bases

• Racism is something. It's alive and well, honey

• Try Gemineye "A penny for your thoughts".

• A word

Used to exclude

Is now exclusively used by the excluded

And with it, excluding its original excludors

Who use the slang to now gain inclusion

Into the group from which their group wanted to be removed from

American politics erase complication and confusion?

• include exclude groups of peoples. I'm white but my dad or his dad or his dad had nothing to do with slavery. Why am I put into that group? Because "minorities" and those who claim they are a minority keep drawing the line in the sand that says we're different.

Why isn't race a moot point yet? It was for me a long time ago.

• "Why isn't race a moot point yet? It was for me a long time ago"

race isn't because everyone doesn't think like you unfortunately and if you are a person that accepts all people and acknowledges the advantages the you may receive because of your race then you are not included in that obvious generalization...so don't take it to heart, just like me as a black person, i have to understand that all the negative stereotypes portrayed by the media everyday isn't what we are as people...

• Moot?

the FUCK IS THAT S'POSED TO MEAN?!?!

• a moot point is a point of debate that has no practical value

seriously, I just google'd it. You Can Too!

• i know dude i was just jk -__-

• Wow that almost sounds like the content of most of Def Poetry jam.

• Thats deep man.

• I loved that. He's very talented! I would love to hear more of his poetry,

• He reminded me of Julian Curry.

• Hes Fine & Educated. roarrr

• I loved the last line of that.

• And I guess it got nothin' to do

With burnt churches or burnt crosses or lynched bodies or bodies lyin' in boats in ocean bottoms aint got nothin' to do

With slaves and chains or shackles or cotton, you just gotta know how it is for niggas and do

What niggas do

And then, maybe, one day, hey

All of us can be some niggas too

• Ayyy, I'm a nigga, you can't tell me I'm not I'm poor enough, I got hella baby mommas and my friends sell rocks Yeah, I'm a nigga Fuck y'all, I failed school? Europeans got me hatin' myself too I'm disillusioned Disenfranchised Society disrespects me Discriminated and hated, the media misrepresents me I'm a nigga too I've lost my roots No knowledge of self, I'm ignorant like you
• I mean What is the rules Cause we all thought is was cool For J-Lo to say nigga just cause she a member of another underprivileged group I mean we call our down ass caucasian partnas my nigga after we nicknamed 'em white chocolate Consciously Making it popular through hip hop When it's obvious we screamin' "where my niggas?" To a majority white audience It's like a status A symbol Bein' a nigga is somethin' to be earned And diserved Achieved A level to get to
• And she stomps out pissed as a mafucka, wantin' me to chase her

And me, you know, I'm feelin' all black righteous now, I'm all like yeah whatever, peace, Assalamo Aleikum

Right

A word

Used to exclude

Is now exclusively used by the excluded

And with it, excluding its original excludors

Who use the slang to now gain inclusion

Into the group from which their group wanted to be removed from

American politics erase complication and confusion?

• So I was kickin' it with this white girl And she say some shit to me like Blah blah blah Nigga this Whoopty whoopty whoop Nigga that And I'm sittin' back Honestly, half thinkin' with my dick Thinkin' that I aint gon get no ass if I call her a ignorant bitch So I relax, umm, my man, this brotha next to me is like "if you around me you better not say it at all And I'm like "whew", thank God he said it cause, y'know, I was about to sell the whole race out for a booty call
• When he does that little voice he sounds like O.G. Loc off of That Gran theft auto game.

• Someone get those lyrics, then i'd be impressed

• Love this post some more
