hey um, it is best not to use a standard LAN cable, instead, buy a crossover cable. it looks the same as a normal LAN cable but i is used for connecting two consoles together and a LAN cable is use to connect to network routors and things like that

Question here please answer! Why do you set the Default Gateways last number to 2 and then 1, cant you match it with the ip adress? And what if we are 6 players, should I go from 6 to 1 at the Default Gateway and 1 to 6 at the IP adress?

find your Network and click the link 'Local area connection' -> properties

then it's pretty much the same.

I changed the network's name through My computer ->System properties -> scroll down, Change settings.

then it prompts to restart. Hope this helps.

It actually works! haha.. me and my brother played warcraft frozen throne on our laptops.but i didnt forced the ip addresses..i just leave it on automatic tcpip's. do an ipconfig, ping the address, then turn off firewalls and antivirus..then viola! we are now playing LAN..thanks anyways for the idea..
