I grew up hunting morels w/ my mother. I am sure we hunted in low-lands under cottonwoods.Or were we hunting some thing else. Thanks so much for your Videos.Me, my wife and son will have so much fun hunting and eating mushrooms. What a wonderful thing for families to get in to. Teach kids to eat well.
I live in the Enumclaw area of Washington and we have the mother load of Chanterelles. So if you are ever in the area and want to go hunting let me know.
oh man....I am so terribly hungry right now. I have only found 2 areas in Northern Ontario where the chanterelle grows. I've managed to get four meals with chanterelles this past summer. Very small batch though. This guy is lucky to live where he does!
a nice warm thick cream of chanterelle soup anyone? oh man, i'm goin pickin tomorrow... tons of spots... 2 days light rain, one day sun today, tomorrow i'm a guessin they should be a growin'....
I find many mushrooms during the season but when I freeze them and cook them they don't taste so good... I 'm gonna try your recommemdation! My favourite is lactarius deliciosus, really tasty!
store your chanterelles in a paper bag with paper towel on the bottom and they should stay nice for weeks!

Thank You so much for your Chanterelle series!
I live in the Rogue Valley of Southern Oregon.
Could you please give me some info on season/location that I might find some

Thank you!
