  • Yes I had a dirty mind back then and still do listening to this.

  • Prince is a talented musician. He does it all. He doesn't dance for crap lol...but he's a musical genius.

  • WOW! I remember asking my mom about this music.

She had no idea about the impact of this particular ARTIST:)

  • I like Michael jackson but he could never get as funky as Prince.

  • This is how Prince looked in the early 80s. He would come out onstage in his bikini briefs and long overcoat with thousands of screaming chicks having a pissy fit over him

  • The wildest album cover of all time

  • Comment removed

  • Hey, Im 15 and listen to prince ! People have heard this C.d. (:

  • who were these girls in Prince's life and why did he put up with their sleaze all the while loving them...his sister was a bitch, threatening to put him on the street again and the chick here doesn't know what goes off inside her head that makes her wanna take 'em all to bed!And what about darliing Nikki?Masturbating in hotel lobbies with magazines!

  • @lemnianetruscan they were nobody. these are just made up stories to make songs

  • Prince's best album EVER!!! I remember when Prince performed Partyup on Saturday Night Live...when the song was over, the band just stopped playing and Prince just walked off of the stage...the audience didn't know what to do. There had to have been at least a 10 second delay before the applause...Classic!!!

  • DOPE!

  • Prince was popular way before purple rain, he had his first album at the age of 17 and five more before PR, he can play over 100 instruments and learned them all by ear, he sings like a MF, dances like a MF, and his stage shows are hard to beat even to this day. he writes, produces, plays all the instruments on his albums and tour with his on shit, so he can wear what the fuck he wants when he wants, and like me, Prince don't give a fuck about Tipper or anyone else for that matter.... SO FUCKEM

  • Owww! Get Down! PRINCE!

  • alot of women love prince's queer look. they love the high heels, the mascara, the way he sings, the way he moves on stage, and in his videos, and the way he moves his tongue all around his mouth. he may be straight sexually but hes not your typical heterosexual.

  • sometimes i hate the fact that the world doesn't get him. sometimes i just think fuck them. they just can not articulate or understand his talent. most of the time though - i just love him... who else is there?

  • love the tracks, love the album cover, nothing else to say

  • prince is mr crossover par excellence! VirgoWunder it is beyond me this is the moozart of a couple of generations yet all people can say is how short he is....people are silly

  • I have this irresistible urge to just lick him!

  • @babyben610 Lol, security!!!!

  • Someone told me that Prince has no crossover appeal. Um....can someone help me with this argument?

  • @VirgoWunder Uh... I'm a metalhead and also am a fan of Prince. One of the things I admire about him is his desire to see musicians producing and owning their own material... breaking away from the corporate greed.

  • Prince you still the man

  • lol me to

  • how can one single person be so awesome and talented!?!? :) love him!

  • Loves it!!!!!

  • when i first saw the music video for this on the hits dvd, i was like "wtf is he wearing? lol", but i got used to it and this song is pretty good

  • holy crap I am feeling old !!!! I remember runing to sam the record man to buy this album . and I remember every lyric on this album OMG my kids are laughing at me

  • music pour blanc et black ya tout compris ce genie

  • This album made me get my first Dirty Mind and start freakin' all these b*tchez back n tha day... black, white, latino, native american, and asian ho's, I've had'em all.

  • Influenced by Tubeway Armys (Gary Numan) album known as Replicas

  • prince is queer. hell yeah only a queer could make a funky queer song like this. It rocks!

  • @veeseee128 While it would be fine if he was, he's never openly shown to be queer. He was married once and only sings about women in graphic detail.

  • this was written by justin bieber

  • @vorkutaman oh hell no!

  • Too bad the man I love and think of no longer loves me! I think of him always! Prince said it all!

  • wooohoooo :-)

  • That is what we need more women with dirty minds to help the fella's out! LOL All I wanna do is lay you down in my daddy's car! Jaaa

  • 衣装があまりにも斬新すぎるよねwww(。→ˇ艸←)

    天才w

  • ich liebe prince....

  • One of the best CDs that nobody has heard.

  • @MrWayneKeller Never heard? I wore out three vinyl albums and four cassettes before buying this on CD. LOL

  • @MrWayneKeller i was born in 1970

  • Prince was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004

  • @bigguybiz...mannnnn, that ish was hecka tight!! im copying and printing this on my FB!!! hahaha thanks bruh...

  • went into my bedroom and freaked out to see an almost life sized poster of Prince on my bed. It came with the Controversy album I think. My brother put it there for me. He heard me listening to Prince a LOT. Anyway, Prince always has sex somewhere in there. Muah for all the tingling Prince!

  • Ah, so this is where Ke$ha got the inspiration for her song "Take It Off".

  • @The1984Freak NA I JUST WENT TO HER SONG ON HERE AND IT'S NOTHING LIKE THIS..DIRTY MIND AND HER SONG HAVE NOTHING IN COMMON..

  • i just listen this album ....it begins to be one of my favourite albums

  • i hate that picture

  • Great tune.....he stole the high synthesizer sound from Parliment (Bernie Worrell)....but that's cool.

  • @fredblassie123 You can't steal ideas.

  • This was the album that got me hooked on Prince! "Dirty Mind" was clearly one of his best.

  • Ahhh, How Prince turned my sexuality into being a normal, interesting, and naughty, thing. He made sex to be erotic, but also a reality. I started having sex at the early age of 15, and I stared listening to his music when I was 11. I am glad that I was able to listen to Prince express his sexuality, since it helped me understand about what sex meant in the world of today.

  • Comment removed

  • BUT SHE WAS STILL A SEXY MF

  • Hey, Hey Hey its Dirty Mind! And I just wanna lay you down in my daddy's car! So Dont be stingy with the pussy and let me love you for awhile!

  • Whats with the shitty production?

  • 2 people are virgins.

  • LMAO..good one...I have three autos, with Prince cd collections in each one,...only prince,...and of course thats all you hear in them as well....there is NO other artist

  • If I had the impossible task of picking a favorite Prince album, it would be Dirty Mind. This was 1980. 31 years ago. Could you name a single modern pop star who could get away with this now? But behind the trench coat and woman's underwear, this fusion of funk and punk, this impossible musical insight made fun... Happy birthday Prince!

  • @sveppir2 Funny how liberal things used to be 31 years ago compared to today. But you're right, no one could get away with this nowadays.

  • @ranus42 Dude, read up on Tipper Gore...Prince didn't get away with shit back in the day.

  • @Outrajess Prince got away with a lot of shit before 1985 when Tipper singled out Darling Nikki. They used to play Head, Uptown, Controversy (w/ the Lords prayer) on the radio just to give you an example of how much radio has changed. You gotta keep in mind Prince and this is pre-Little Red Corvette was well known in the urban markets and his music was played quit a bit at the clubs.

  • @ranus42 Yeah, because he wasn't mainstream back then. Once Purple Rain hit and he hit the big time, then everyone started getting offended.

  • @Outrajess Prince was mainstream back then if you factor in urban radio. Black folks was into Prince long before Purple Rain. It was the hardcore rock fans who were mostly white that didn't like Prince back then. But Prince was mainstream.

  • @ranus42 Very true. Purple Rain was almost a letdown. There werent any black people who weren't on board at least by Controversy which was one of the most influential albums of that generation, and also of all time. In Detroit we had this dj name Mojo who was like Funkadelic, he had a "mothership" he played Hendrix, Parliment, and most of all Prince. Mojo was probably the most important DJ in America in the early 80's. I was there, nothing is authentic now like it was back then, sorry.

  • @LKaramazov

Man-O-Man do I remember exactly what you are talking about! Ahhh...the memories

  • @Outrajess Tipper Gore freaked out over Darling Nikki, and the whole parental advisory thing came out of that, I think, but I don't think even an INDIE record label would let their artists sincerely do anything close to dirty mind. You have wonderful music coming from boundaries pushing artists today, but it's not party music. Prince was all about connecting the dots of diverse influences, & making you want to dance. That's too risky now for a straight man to do now and expect to make $.

  • @sveppir2 grew up on prince and still listen to this and head lol

  • Now you knew if you put emphasis on the 0 dislikes someone would click dislike for spite lol. But I like!!

  • @LYNNDIEPEE And they did dislike it !!! Some times i think they do it for the hell of it !!

  • it should be just like fb no dislike botton :D

  • 0 DISLIKES!! Just The Way I Like It! :D

  • @abelflexes2 And just when somebody mentions it, some douche has to prove otherwise...

  • Great song!!

  • This song and album is awesome!!!!!What happened to the official video?I remember seeing back in the 80's on USA's Up All Night video show...it used to be on youtube but i guess it was taken down.

  • LOL.....and NO hurry or worry then......while having cool sex between men......

  • 311 likes - no dislikes.

    "If you got the time"

Relaxed gay men or bisexial men know always that time is important. Lots of time for cool sex. And hurry or worry then.

    311 likes - no dislikes.

"If you got the time"......but i would never give money.....

...but i would never give money.....

  • Early genius genius genius.

  • 3 months ago 143 got a dirty minds now we have 308 people getting a dirty minds and more people will get a dirty mind.!!!

  • @getnervousedy Another great thing: 0 Dislikes = no narrow minds!

  • Hahaha - nice job but you forgot to tell Darling Nikki - "Let's Pretend We're Married!"

  • This is my favorite Prince album!

  • Prince was at a crossroads at the time, his previous album didn't sell spectacularly although there was one classic hit from it, he was still a freaky Disco Funk kid. He adapted with the times and mixed Punk with Funk (Rick James was going it too) and this is what you got. Prince was also trying really hard to get attention, gain a wider audience, a balls out album this was. He also kept it raw in its recording sound, which I don't really like but the songs shine through.

  • @wendileona Prince makes me Jealous

  • well ,it is what it is

  • TIMELESS!!!!!

  • AMAZING SONG!!

  • This is a really good song!!

  • 255 people have clean minds.

    weirdos.

  • this song has no dislikes...247 people are awesome!!!

  • @Superstar33000 I just 'like''d it, make it 262!

  • oh, he corrupted me at SUCH a young age. lol

  • Awesome tune. 1999, Dirty Mind, Purple Rain and Sign O' The Times are his best albums.

  • @Vindrion But what about Parade?

  • i have a dirty mind alright this is the best

  • This man just rocks and is the epiteme of music

  • Not to show my age, but I still remember when this album was new. I can still remember hearing this for the first time. Still to this day, I consider this as possibly his best work. I won't say it's 100% his best work, because he's done so much great work over the years! But, every time I listen to his old work like this, I always think "man, does anyone work like artists used to back then? Does anyone think about, write, produce, record, and perform their OWN work any more?"

  • @JLove45036 Prince best work/great is his early years and his best Albums are Dirty Minds, Controversy & 1999 after that his work is good...

  • had sex for the first on this song.

  • bit like van halen...

    -not an arguement just saying:)

    both exellent

  • @northernstarre I think u're referring to "Jump" by Van Halen in 1984 and this was 1980, waaaaaay BEFORE that song. So if anything, Van Halen took from this song.... Not being a smartass or anything... Just wanted to put the timeline out there.

  • @KJMelodic dude , that was like 8 burns in one sentence lol

  • I gotta say. This is my theme song.

  • His best work PERIOD. I'm still waiting for him to put something out close to this.

  • @Starrchild65 he wont pop is dead sweetheart until i hit the stage your talking to the next best thing im ready to make history move over willow beyonce and the rest of them because im comming through

  • I was a HUGE prince fan from For You to Sign Of The Times. After that, he too James Brownish.

  • @sdrob40 Try the 3 cd box Musicology or The Rainbow Children

Makes you change your mind foe sure....

  • A Dirty Mind Is good for your Heart....Do you agree ?

  • Comment removed

  • OMG he is the epitomy of what an artist should be; a brilliant song writer, musician, and performer!!

  • PRINCE IR THE BEST EVER

  • Stripped down, simple, GRREAT!

  • genius is all you can say about this

  • Love it, great music !

  • God this shit is so cheesy.

  • @jimih64 When are you gonna drop something better and play all the instruments while you do it?

  • @lc146391 What are you talking about? Your entire argument is pure fallacy. Stop talking.

I didn't say his music isn't good, or that it wasn't in its time period. I said it's cheesy, and it is incredibly so.

  • I totally agree , one of first artist implementing samplers and drum machines , all rap - hip hop producers do the same thing now with software.

Great artists not only guitarist , plays drums piano composer and great voice too! Just too controversy for the era!

  • 143 people have dirty minds and more will get dirty minds....!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @getnervousedy some of us skipped dirty and went straight to filthy pervert. Which isn't fair...it's only perverted the first time.

  • @getnervousedy and the 3 people that disliked this video don't even have a mind

  • SHIT. IN A SWIFT SENTENCE

  • if you listen closely, van halen's "jump" sounds eerily similar to this.they were on warner bros. too

  • @MrJonasprayer144 well then van halen are copycats! cause this came out 4 yrs prior to jump!

  • I have this album autographed over my bed!

  • @videovix7 Thats AWESOME!!

  • I can't stop listening <3

  • Prince was 100% ahead of his time in music doing things before anyone... this could be the best prince album... Dirty Minds is white hot...!!!!!!!!

  • @getnervousedy I sooo agree with you! I've always said that he was ahead of his time-he was truly a trail blazer that no 1 could keep up with!! This is raw talent and hot! much love

  • @getnervousedy 4 months later - no no, Prince's best came a few years later. Prince wasn't ahead of his time, he was doing the Punk Funk pervert thing, that freaky stuff of the late 70's, early, early 80's. Maybe he was the first to really push boundaries, that, was pioneering in terms of really pushing the sexuality envelope to draw attention to and create his persona. A pioneer mostly, then many followers and imitators who saw $ in that approach.

  • @getnervousedy I agree. Dirty Mind and Controversy, IMHO, are two of his most UNDERRATED albums!

  • @getnervousedy My fave Prince record!

  • @themooddisorders It's definitely leagues above everything else he did. It's a classic.

  • His guitar riffs and synthesizer work were a head of the times back then, simple but very well put together. Good Stuff

  • @biggman633 couldn't agree more.that guitar is sooo basic,but funky it's crazy!!!!

  • This man is a high rank musician GENIUS ..Underrated by so many deaf anyways I ma glad I can hear and rejoice the gift ..Thank you little big man

  • this my song!!!!

  • I remember I went with my older cousin and her friend to go get this album when it was first release back in October of 1980. The song "Uptown" was the hot single of course they were playing on the radio. When my cousin and her friend saw the album cover (and I shit you not), they were like "OMG!!! Prince!!! Is this a Halloween joke?!! Lawd!! Prince has turn into a transvestite ya'll." LMAO!! Yeah, "Dirty Mind" cause a lot of controversy back in the day, lol!!

  • The simplicity of this new Minneapolis Funk is what makes this Prince’s most influential and maybe greatest album?

  • I had this album on 8track tape!!!!! talk about longevity..hahaha

  • How can you NOT dance to this song?

  • Prince is the most talented queer man ive ever heard. queer meaning ecentric.

  • I said Goddamn!!!!

  • I HAD A DIRTY MIND SO I CALLED DARLING NIKKI AND ASKED FOR SOME HEAD SHE SAID COME UPTOWN AND DO ME BABY CAUSE I WANNA BE YOUR LOVER BUT THE REAL CONTRVERSY IS NIKKI IS MY SISTER SO I GOTTA BROKEN HEART AGAIN SO I WILL STAND HERE IN THE PURPLE RAIN UNTIL IM SOFT AND WET KNOW THAT I WILL ALWAYS ADORE YOU AND TREASURE OUR LOVE LIKE DIAMONDS AND PEARLS DAM ITS ALWAYS THE BEAUTIFUL ONES. • this man is the king ... the only one left ..

    pure unadulterated genius!

  • this was great...forgot that 80s sound he had..

  • Prince is my favorite.

  • " In my daddy's car, it's you I really wanna drive!" Ah, yes, the memories...Prince is not given his due like back in the day. This one makes me miss the late 70's and early eighties. Love pretty much anything this man does. Thank you, bless you for uploading these clips here on YT! You rock, just like my baby Prince!

  • YAAY! what a great time (october 1980)!

  • @msOctober12 :absolutely the best, 8 years before I was born!

  • 0(+> his sexy symbol is getting tatted on me!

  • @leoshiajr

no please don't tattoo your body, u are destroying God's work...that is why God forbid tattooing in the Old Testament and even today, Jews don't allow tattoos. I am a christian, but whatever your religion, please don't follow the crowd and scar your body. I say this out of love...peace.

  • @bigleroygym Yeah me too, I really don't want it i just love Prince alot!

  • @bigleroygym you are brainwashed, talking about who`s follow the crowd? some christians are really ignorant, i don`t understand how tattoos has anything to say for those who belive in god....

  • @grindmaggots666

with a name like yours, there is no need to respond.

  • @bigleroygym what a shitty respons. you have no arguments against it i guess? if you had read my channel description, i says the name is just crap cause i made the channel as a a joke at first. i just says that your`e ignorance is big, with opinons like your`s. just like the kind of christians i dont like.

  • His early music was genius. This album was amazing. Unfortunately his new stuff is totally unlistenable. We often see him driving around Toronto. I wish someone would be honest with him.

  • @swanieful wrong, dirty mind was from 1980!

  • @3645472 Your right it came out in October 1980

  • I've always wanted to fuck to this song......

  • people just can not realised how important PRINCE is in the history of music

  • Love the old stuff!

  • he is awsome

  • At least we can go back to the 80's and remember this gem!!!!!! 80's folk.. snort that blow and dance and fuck, was nothing else at that time. Mind set was like mind. I bet everyone of you owe 25 bucks to your coke dealer. Raaaar.

  • @witchman1 .dirty minds was in the 1979 so that makes a 70s song:)

  • @swanieful

His self title album "Prince" (his second album) was release in 1979. "Dirty Mind" was release the following year (1980).

  • cute panties.
