  • COOL THANK YOU.

  • Delicious, all i change is a bit of vinegar and add some fresh dill...

  • you forgot using Vinegar ! Greetings from Greece !!

  • thankyou now time for me to get busy on my lamb.

  • I ♥ Greek food.

  • Thank you for the recipe! I've seen videos where the yogurt doesn't need to be strained. They just put the ingredients in a blender (food processor) and blended it all. Would this method produce the same results??

  • Love your videos my father is greek and he watches your videos all the time thanks! :)

  • Very nice recipe. However, if you want to save time, they have a Geek yogurt that is already strained instead of the plain yogurt. So look for Greek yogurt in your grocery store instead of plain yogurt. Thanks for the recipe Eva!

  • This lady is so charming :) <3

  • this looks great !! but does it taste like the greek sauce they use in american restaurants /canadian... like Jimmy the Greek? im looking to make that exact same saucee.

  • My girlfriend just got back from visiting Greece with her friend. Lucky got to stay with her friends family who owns land and make olive oil. She came back looking to make all the dishes and snacks she had. She wasn't sure how to make the Tzatziki and found this recipe fit the taste she remembers.

    Thank!

  • I just love this lady!

  • It's amazing how many recipes the Arabs taught the Greeks.

  • @REDMAN4701 wrong Greek and Jews thought to all the Arabs about Food the only thing Arabs knows how to ride a Camels they still living on first century

  • I like that she uses her hands! Best way to prepare your meal

  • thank you for your video i am very excited about watching again to make one of my very favorite sauces .. :)

  • well, it's better if in the end you use a handful of dill/anise (ανιθος in greek), that has been chopped, not too much -we're not going to saute it for the love of god. so just out it as the last ingredient and mix it with a spoon so that it goes everywere. Also no to sound arrogant or disrespectful, but in my family -in greece- we don't use lemon but olive oil to mix all the ingredients so that it gets soft and "foamy"... :)enjoy or as she has put it "καλη ορεξη"

  • What a dear lady!!!

  • Thanks Eva, I am making this for the first time and your recipe was simplest and very clear. Especially explaining how to make Greek yogurt.

  • I love this dip :) im proud im greek and we got such a wide variety of foods.

  • Thank you so much for this wonderful video, you saved me a lot of grades in english class! :)

  • Hi Eva I made the tzatziki sauce last night and It came out great. Today I made steak kebabs dressed them with shredded lettuce sliced red onion diced tomato's and a nice scoop of tzatziki sauce I did not miss the mint now I realize I prefer it without mint or dill. Thank you for the recipe

  • I didn't hear her mention fresh dill, but I guess everyone makes it different ways?

  • Thanks so much! The recipe I had didn't say to squeeze the cucumber like that. Comes out so much nicer, all thick and creamy. :)

  • YUMMO I love this sauce. thank you for sharing

  • What! no Dill? OH MY

  • I wouldnt use the paper towel! you definately dont want soggy bits of paper towel in your food!

  • tahnk u Eva the good thing about your recipe is that it looks like a very traditional hand-made like the old greek mothers used to do it when there were no machines in the kitchen so nice!!!!

  • what a nice lady and a very informative video.

  • Tzatziki! Aw, my mum still won't give me her recipe for her pita!

    Looks great, Eva! Ευχαριστώ

  • thats not tzatziki sauce, where is the dill?? the dill is the most important ingredient

  • @str8desi The turks put Dilll and mint. This is Greek tzatziki. Austere and perfect.

  • @proteusx really? thats weird because everytime i eat at greek restaurants they always put dill in the tzatziki sauce

  • @str8desi It may be modified tzatziki for the american taste.

Also, I have heard that some people substitute garlic with other

    condiments such as dill.

But if there is no garlic should it be called tzatziki?

What this lady is showing is the proper thing.

  • @proteusx

Adding dill depends on restaurants, in greece local restaurants often add dill because its their family recepy.

But here i don't add dill because i dont like it :)

  • Love you Eva! Great video and the tzatziki is fabu! Even if I never tried the recipes, I love watching you. Thanks!!

  • Thank you for the recipe, very well explained and video-taped. Thanks especially for the idea with the paper towel to drain the water from the yoghurt. With the stores closed for today's holiday I could not get a cheese cloth!

  • Thanks for great recipie

  • she seems nice

  • tzaziki sauce is illegal in Syria :(

  • @AlcoholLevel WTF!!!!! thats crazy

  • i like to add dill and white pepper. but this is exactly how its done in greece. very simple. this lady is deffinetly greek btw for anyone asking. sounds just like my dad =)

  • very traditional. even the removal of the cucumber seeds.

  • That's how I make mine, except I put some white pepper in it to give it some kick.

Oh, and I don't use much garlic. I'm not a big fan of garlic.

  • are you greek??

  • this lady is pro

  • SO EXCITED to get to make this. My 5 y.o. daughter is studying Greece and this is a perfect dish for her to help me make! Thanks EVA!

  • So easy I had no idea. Thanks

  • Very useful. i am planning to make some Tzatziki myself. I work at Opa Souvlaki of Greece, in winnipeg manitoba, and our sauce also has some Dill in it. it increases flavor, and makes it a little less plain white, most people say it is the best Tzatziki they have ever had. thanks Eva for a Great video tutorial.
